Ok so here is where I am at:
So I got my files on my desktop. I got the domain. I got MAMP but not sure what for. When I try uploading to the web it does not let my php file connect with other uploaded files like my css file this is a huge problem.

 

Seeing as neither of you understand how to set up a LAMP server on localhost/vps, I'll just redirect you to a webhost, like http://www.bluehost.com/

 

I already got the domain and the nameservers you said that you had one lower and just had to add the nameservers to that cloud server

 

So this way I need to transfer the domain. I prefer having it just so that the Cloud server connects to the domain rather than having a VPS to also have the domain hosting

 

I will need the cloud hosting just to store files of people when they signup just a little bit of mysql and php and that should be covered so I do not need MAMP or LAMP or XXAMP or any of those type of things on my computer. Just the files the domain and then cloud hosting. This should be my final question as I am asking plenty of questions the support at IPage what has quite a quick response. Thanks for the help though I would still be lost and buying a domain xD

 

kuke. I will be setting up a text file to create in a folder everytime a person signs up like:

Open: True

Normal: False
#Person has a bigger amount of space



Ok so do you think it is possible that when the file is created it transport to my raspberry pi (small computer) it has 8 gigabyte SSD card that can be used for storage of these files. If each file is around 5kb then 4 194 304 people can have a file on it with the other useless invisible things stored at least 3.5 mil

 

It would be easier to store people in a mysql database, it takes up less space and it's easier to read from the code. Although a properly maintained flatfile database would work, the drawback is that when it gets larger it also becomes slower.

Also, all you need is a webhost, you can have ftp access to it and work with it. And that's all you need to create websites, aside from a domain.

Why would you transport it to your raspberry pi? Seriously, that's incredibly slow. Just save it on the cloud server itself.
