Welcome to the In-Game Scavenger Hunt Race!​

This year I've put together another in-game event for you guys to have fun with, a scavenger hunt!
I have put together what might possibly be an evil list of tasks and items for participants to gather and collect for this event. However, should you and/or your team complete the most tasks, the rewards are great! Are you ready?!?!​

When!?:
Sign-ups for the event will be from now until January 8th.
The task-period will run from January 8th to January 14th!​

How it all works!

• On Sunday, January 8th around 2pm EST, I will present each team with the list of tasks they must complete via forum PM.
• Each team will then attempt to complete the list of tasks within the week allotted(2pm EST, January 8th to 11:59pm EST, January 14th.)
• All content presented to fulfill any of the tasks will be presented in the forum PM for my approval.
• For certain tasks you will need somewhere to deposit your findings. This will be provided and assigned to you when the event begins.
• Each task is worth a number of points. Completing the task exactly to the specifications will add to your overall score.
• The tasks vary in difficulty and in nature. Some will be gathering screenshots of specific instances in chat or the game itself. Other tasks will have you collect random items of various amounts or find specific things around the server. Some tasks you may need to ask the services of other users!
• The event will end when the first five teams complete the entire task list or the task-period has expired.
• At the end of the week if no team has completed all the tasks the top five teams with the most points will win the top prizes. Teams that manage to complete the list will place in the order they completed it.

General Conduct:

• Cheating will not be tolerated, please play fair.
• Have good sportsmanship, this is meant to be a fun event.
• Don't attempt to sabotage other teams.
• Have fun!

Task Rules:
General Rules:

• All screenshots and blocks/items present for completion of a task will be examined and approved by myself.

Screenshot Rules:

• Must all be new content - no saved screenshots from the past!
• Must be of your full Minecraft client
• Must be time-stamped. Double-tap f2 to take time-stamped screenshots!

Block/Item Rules:

• Blocks and Items gathered for the tasks must be left in chest locked by a member of your team!
• Chests must be newly placed and have a recent logblock showing they were filled for the event.
• Items and blocks presented for the tasks must remain in your chest(s) and assigned plot for the duration of the event.
• Chests must be placed on your assigned plot for inspection.

Items will not be taken or destroyed, you will be able to retrieve any items you collect back after the event is over.

Prizes: -Prizes are per team, not per person-
First Place: $4,500,000 ECD, 240 Events Raffle Tickets, 6 GodDrops and the Event Medal
Second Place: $2,700,000 ECD, 180 Events Raffle Tickets, 3 GodDrops and the Event Medal
Third Place: $1,500,000 ECD, 150 Events Raffle Tickets, 3 GodDrops and the Event Medal
Fourth Place: $1,200,000 ECD, 90 Events Raffle Tickets, 2 GodDrops and the Event Medal
Fifth Place: $900,000, 60 Raffle Tickets, 1 GodDrop and the Event Medal

Also rewards for participating, even if you don't place!
5,000 ECD for every 55 points earned (this one is per player)!

No one is out of the running yet! Some teams wait to submit until they have tons done. We still have almost SIX DAYS to go. WOOO!

 

Sorry Jdawger, signups closed on Sunday - This particular event requires teams to be registered at the start and I feel it would be unfair if I started letting people join in late. Especially if it ended up impacting the competition differently for the already competing teams - task list is out there already as well as many other reasons.
This is an annual event, just keep an eye out for the next one.
