Hey, Does /own only work on star tools? If not then what things will it work on? Thanks, Builder @JamieSinn
Absolutely every item ever, though, blocks are a bit redundant if you place them, as they lose NBT data
Wont this like fill up user files like crazy though. like wouldnt the server have to store every single item ever /owned. the only thing i could see that would fix this is having the reset thing we do with inv's. but that would cause a lot of issues with stealing and make the addition a bit useless.
Ok thank you @JamieSinn! What if players lwc other players chest for example and they have a enchanted diamond helmet, and they now own it. What happens then?
@Builder_Boy_2000 - Is the situation that you are describing.. You have a chest in your town and the owner of that chest goes inactive. You file an lwc request and inside it, there is an item which is /own'ed by the player. What do you now do?
Ah, This isn't something to change in code, but rather a protocol. This will be discussed with staff about how this will be done
To tag onto to this post because I'm too lazy to make my own, does the UUID track where the item is at all times? Thereby, allowing moderators to locate the tool?
Along with BuilderBoy's question - I am also wondering what is going to happen every time players lose their items in PVP? In other words, I get killed and all my armor and my max sword which I /own now are in possession of someone else. How would they ever own them?
That would cause so much immense lag, it's not even funny. We've decided that items dropped/won from pvp do not require to be returned. Nothing will change, the ownership tag will stay the same
We log item being picked up. Logs coords, world, and who picked it up, as well as a few other nifty things
So now I have items I won in pvp that are owned by someone else - how would I ever sell these? I am not against the feature, in fact, I think it is awesome but I am worried about some of the issues that will ensue and the amount of work for the staff. Every time I buy items from now on, I will be required to ask about ownership and verify that with staff I assume?
And how do users who don't have access to those logs know? How do you sell the items you pick up? Because those items would have someone else's name plastered on it.
I like the idea, but what if someone drops it? Possibly code for that as well, and removing the death part? I'm no coder, so I have no clue if it would work, but seems like it would.
