Yeah, the shops are too big, the layout is clunky and unintuitive, the colourcoding makes me cry tears of blood, and there are simply too many shops.

 

Yeah, we REALLY need a new market. But not this thing. Anything but this thing.

 

I voted keep the current market. The new one looks like it was done in a hurry is probably the most polite thing I can think of to say about it right now.

 

I liked the original market we had in 2012 when I joined.

The current market also causes huge amounts of lag. The problem is that there's simply too much room to completely fill up your shop with signs. I've counted and all the prime location shops in the market have 200-300 signs. My FPS drops from 400 to 70. The difference is that the text on the signs doesn't get rendered, but the signs themselves are still causing lag, just less than it used to. It needs to be spaced out a little, but the amount of signs should also be limited to actually reduce the lag.

 

+1 The one at /warp newmarkettesting looks like a 3 year old just got their first Lego set.

 

Not sure who decided that mixing acadia wood, green wool, gold blocks and tinted glass would look good. Clearly it doesn't lol. Just sayin

 

The colour design can be changed. The layout is the best for lag prevention.
Sadly, this isn't exactly a "suggestion", more of a "let's tear it apart because it's new and we haven't tried it"

 

I've also benchmarked the new design on my test server, filling each shop with 2048 signs with 4 full lines of text, and the improvement is dramatic.
