There is truth behind that... If nobody paid beggers they wouldn't beg... So if this doesn't go through we should just tell me not to give donations except if it is a good friend of yours. Donations shouldn't be asked for they should be given if the donator feels it is right. The red cross doesn't ask for donations but they get them because people don't mind donating for a good cause. 99% of the time the money people donate to other people goes back into lotto where they lost all their money in the first place.

Hardcore economy includes the beggars, hardcore doesn't mean difficult, it means as realistic as possible within the boundaries of the game. Beggars are a part of the economy just as much as farmers are.

Beggars exist in any game, beggars exist in real life, why would we stop beggars on this server when begging is, in fact, a part of the economy? Beggars are people who are too lazy, too laggy or simply not smart enough to make good money. These things usually apply to kids < 14 years, because those kids who do beg, usually don't understand how to make money. Why would we deny those people from making a little bit of money from begging? Because you think it's annoying? Because it clutters up trade chat?


If you think it's because it clutters up tradechat. Trade chat clutter is caused by the people who advertise their stuff, not the beggars, you have it all wrong. If the problem is trade chat clutter then maybe the time between trade advertisements should be increased, that would solve that solution. Also, do note that beggars are also bound to the '1-2 unique messages every 3 minutes or longer' rule, they don't clutter up trade chat any more than regular advertisements do, in fact, they can't clutter more.

 

I think this should happen for the same reason advertisements had to be slowed down and although a part of the economy spams chat even more for new players

 

2 lines should decreased to 1 and the time should be a firm 5 minutes
When 4 people all do 2 lines each withing a few seconds of each other its a flood of the chatbox.

 

A lot of things exist in real life that are not in ECC.

Yes, it is annoying and it contributes to cluttering up trade chat. Both of these are good reasons to get rid of begging.

I am ok with advertisements in Trade chat if the ad's purpose to make a two-way trade. Begging is a one-way gift. Not a trade.

Begging Channel! That no one goes in!

 

That is what I was going to say, a begging channel (/ch b) but If a mod sees this then they might say it is hard to moderate the channels already which I can understand but we donators that hate beggars can simply do /ch leave b and we don't have to see it. Just make it like local were anyone can join/leave it for their convenience. This would solve this issue. When ever you get low on money then you would do /ch b :p.

That's just a really sad pathetic idea.

We all know that no one would go in the begging channel except for the beggers. And beggers aren't stupid either, they would get angry, or just keep posting in trade. On top of that, yes, mods are already extremely busy moderating the channels already. We also don't have any usable colors for a begging channel.

It's simply a ridiculous idea and we all know it.

 

I say /ch b. You can avoid begging in real life so why not make it we can ignore it or leave it to the side for the game. No one goes in it? well then don't beg
More moderating? It would not be that hard because after time people would give up and stop
Unfair to beggars? umm... how can it be unfair for them when they are asking for free money
