Minecraft Name: Jwpwns Suggestion: Re build the user market area. Reason:The market is really confusing the shops are not even in order and everything is so spread out shops are hard to find the old market area was much better everything was close together and in order it was easier to find shops. Link To This Plugin: None.
I think the reason they were spread out was to decrease lag. But, a new numbering system would be nice.
I don't see a problem with how they're laid out but I agree, they should be re-numbered in a way that makes sense; like all red's have numbers ?? - ?? in order where lower numbers are toward spawn and go up as you go away from the center.
Like every market we have ever had there are shops that are always worth more so i don't see a problem they could still claim the shops in the front/closest to the portal.
I think the market layout is fine. Could make use of space better I suppose, but overall it's not terrible. As for numbering... well biggest issue there is the turnaround time. It would take anywhere from a day to a week, during which the market would basically need to completely shut down and Jakey/Phys work on nothing else but deleting/recreating shop regions.
Since we already have a map and directory for the town portals, someone could make the same for the market areas...
+1 I found it pretty confusing. I get that it would take a long time... but that's why you start now. I'm sick and tired of people complaining how it will take X amount of time and labor. Start now, and sooner or later it'll be done and benefit everyone.
It's not that. That market was removed because the lag was so bad it would lag many users out, including myself (and I have a decent computer). If there is a way to have a market build, that would be fun. But, to be honest, I wouldn't mind my shop down for a week for region edits.
Yes the old one was nice but it was to cluttered witch caused fps lag for people with crappy pcs but there is many other designs we could make that is better than the current one.
I've never been a huge fan of the current market, it's so much less intimate than the original. But if lag is going to be an issue, then at least a re-numbering of the shops could be done. +1
