I'm sorry. I thought you said you were "realistic" and didn't like anything that wasn't. You only play the parts of minecraft that are realistic and have builders sing for your amusement. I didn't think you did all the other stuff. This isn't realistic. Perhaps I misunderstood you? :cool:

 

There is a possibility of finding music discs in dirt which isn't realistic, so I would imagine this be ok.

This really isn't a bad suggestion and I can understand the reasoning behind it. I'm on the fence. I think this should be an extremely rare drop if it is accepted. (0.05% - 0.1%)

 

Well, it would blow some life into the gunpowder market, and therefore also fireworks. So I see no reason to make it rare like that. I'd say it should be similar to the drops gravel used to have before it was removed.

I believe the only current ways to get gunpowder are by using /kit mobs which gives 2, ghasts, and creepers; both of which are extremely rare and only good for maybe 4-10 each depending on how well you can fish them. I would love to see soulsand have another drop use, and gunpowder would be a good option. Bones on the other hand are really easy to acquire, at my spawner I can get an inventory full of them every hour.

I feel that this is a great suggestion. It would encourage excavation training even more, and would also encourage alchemy training, because of the greater supply of gunpowder. It would make gunpowder less expensive, which most people would be happy about.

As I was recently trying to host a fireworks show, I came to realize how painfully rare and expensive gunpowder was.
I like the idea of adding a new way to bring gunpowder into the server and gunpowder as drops from soul sand sounds reasonable to me.
