I've been having terrible internet issues recently, so I've been forced to disconnect from the server and reconnect very frequently. During one of these occurrences, the mending lure 3 rod I was holding in my hand just disappeared while I was standing at my fishing pond. My co-ordinates were 2419, 63, -608 and I was standing on a stone slab. I heard a splashing noise from the water when it disappeared, but I don't think I had ever pressed "Q". I had obviously used /own on the item, but the screenshots I had taken were old, when my rod only had mending and not lure 3. Here it is anyway:

Is it lost permanently now? I really don't want to stress over getting it all over again because I was using it to save money, buy nstars and get the star rod.

 

I used a lot of savings to eventually get the rod to what it now is, and it was my prized possession but now it's gone forever? Because I got disconnected from the server and the item despawned? I clearly deserve this
