    I'm looking to make a minecraft minigame plugin. Problem is, a lot of ideas have already been made by other people.

    What I'm looking for is a fast paced team based minigame, probably with pvp. (a 1 vs everyone game is also fine)

    Please be as descriptive as you can.

    What is the general idea?
    What is the objective?
    How would you reach that objective/win?
    What happens when you die? Can you die?

    stuff like that.
    Please be original. I won't be recreating a minigame someone else already made. Also, variations of current minigames are not preferred, unless it has a really special twist that makes it a lot more fun to play.

    If someone has a great idea that's also possible to make, I'll see if I can make the plugin for it :D

    Not sure what a good name would be, but here is my suggestion.

    The general idea of the game is to obtain emeralds by killing other players and using those emeralds to purchase mobs in order to attack an enemy base. The objective would be to reduce the enemies health from x to 0. You would reach this objective by purchasing mobs with the emeralds and have them attack the other team. You can die and when you do you loose your inventory, EXP, and re-spawn back at the original point. Here's some more information...

    You start with basic wooden tools. You mine resources in order to obtain better gear, like iron. Also, the ores you mine would provide you with EXP. Maybe 3-6 orbs of EXP per ore, dependent on the ore. Anyway, once you achieve the level desired, you can enchant or just go straight for the kills.

    Killing another player would provide you with two things. One, the persons inventory, and two, emeralds. Also, upon your own death, you loose your entire inventory and EXP and re-spawn with your basic wooden tools.

    Moving onto the emeralds. The emeralds you collect can be used to purchase certain mobs and raw meat foods, ie. pork, beef, and chicken, each with their own unique price. The mobs you buy, can be used to attack an enemy base. You could purchase creepers, zombies, and skeletons. Upon purchase, they would near the base and would need to find a way into the enemy base. Blocks may not be placed to prevent the mobs from reaching the... aura zone..? I don't know. Anyway, once they reach the 5x5-7x7 area they begin doing damage, just by standing there. Skeletons and zombie would each do 1 hit point and creepers would do 3 upon explosion. Basically, you need to have people defend your aura zone.

    If kits were to be implemented, I have a few ideas. There could be certain kits that allow users to purchase certain mobs with certain potion effects. ie zombie with speed II or strength. Any drinkable potion.

    If you have any more rules or anything to add, just say so :)

    Also, I am not the person who came up with the general idea. I just came up with the little things. I read the idea of mobs attack another teams base somewhere... not sure where, but please do not think I came up with the general idea, thanks. :3

    Alright, so my main inspiration for this comes primarily from the Wintermaul Wars mod for Warcraft 3.

    There are two teams of up to 4 people per team. The goal of the game is to cause your opponents base to be destroyed by spawning enough monsters to overwhelm their defenses. In order to spawn monsters, you must have (gold) with which you would purchase them with. In order to obtain the (gold), you must kill the monsters that your opponents buy to send at you. The other way to obtain (gold) is every 30 seconds you earn an income. In order to raise your income, you must purchase more monsters. While you can spend money on mobs, you must also use that money to purchase walls, towers, gear, base upgrades, and skills. You must use the walls and towers to build a maze for the mobs to run through to slow them from reaching your base. The walls will do nothing but block the monsters path, however the towers will block their path and deal damage to them. Each tower will have upgrades that you must use (gold) on. Each upgrade will increase the towers abilities.

    Several towers that are typically used in this gametype are the standard shot tower which just shoots the enemy and has no special effects. Upgrading this would increase its damage and fire rate as well as its fire range.
    Another tower would be the bomb tower which has a very slow fire rate, yet it deals large amounts of damage and has an explosion radius for each shot. Upgrading this one would increase the explosion radius, damage, and range.
    Another tower would be the slow tower. This tower releases an explosion radiating from itself, and anything that is caught in the blast is slowed and also dealt a low amount of damage. Upgrading this tower would increase its slow time, fire rate, and range.
    Another tower would be the quick shot tower. While it does little damage, it has a quick fire rate with low range. Upgrading this tower would increase Damage, range, and fire rate.

    There are also 1 time use items that you can purchase. One example would be a mine that you place in the path to deal damage to anything near it when it explodes. Another is a slow field that slows any enemy that gets caught in it for a little bit.

    While all of this is going on, you must be traveling around to each shop purchasing anything you may need. You may also hop onto the field to attack the monsters as well, however if you die you must wait until the 30 second timer is up to respawn.

    When you upgrade your base, it's base health will increase and you will also unlock higher level gear, towers, and upgrades.

    If you need me elaborate anything else, let me know. Also, even though this idea isn't completely original, I don't think it's been made for minecraft.

    Alright so i had this idea and was going to implement it myself without using a plugin, but found out that its way too much for me to handle on my own.

    So the game is basically chess, but were only going to be taking the ranks and power of the chess pieces. Its basically a 16v16 pvp game (or 8v8 can be the minimum). The main purpose of the game is to kill the "king". If a user with the rank of pawn gets to the enemy base he/she would be able to rankup to a different chess piece besides the king. I think the items given to each rank should look like this:

    King: prot 1. Sharp 1 dsword. Infinite Bow. All potions.
    Queen. Prot 1. Sharp 1 dsword. Infinite Bow. All potions.
    Rook: Prot 1. Dsword. Strength potions.
    Bishop: Iron armor. Iron sword. Infinite bow power 2. Healing potions
    Knight: Iron Armor. Dsword. Speed potions.
    Pawn: Leather Armor. Ironsword.

    The items can be changed of course, but i think they should function the same way. With the pawn being the weakest class, but the most common. The rook being the powerhouse. The bishop for healing, and the knight for quick attacks.

    If you die in the game you are either sent to a spectating area above the arena, or back to spawn like the survival games. The only way you can win is to kill every other member of the other team. The teams should be in colors like red and blue, that way its easier to determine what team their on.

    I was thinking that if you won each team member would get 2-3k, that may be too much for prize money, so of course it can be changed.


    Not sure how this would work into a plugin. But wouldnt it just assign a rank to each user and then give them their set armor and items? or maybe the user would have to do something along the lines of /kit pawn or /kit queen. After that its just a simple pvp game, until they reach the other base and get promoted.

    I've always wanted ECC to add in a hockey minigame. I've found some videos of various plugins on YouTube and bukkit but this one seems to be the best. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/blockhockey/ problem is that it's super outdated so I don't know if it would still work.

    This is interesting to me. Would this be turn based like real chess or just a free for all. The other question I have is about pawn promotion. In real chess there are tactical reasons why you might choose to become a rook or knight ect. In this version, unless it is turn based there is no reason not to be a queen when you promote, so I think the game looses some of its strategy there.
    I am sorry to be picky but also in your version of chess the king and queen are equally matched, which is very inaccurate with the real game. Also, in real chess, the goal of the game isn't to kill the king but corner him so his death is inevitable. Other than that, great idea.
