Welcome!
I've decided to keep with the spirit of writing down stuff as a record of what I've done.
This time I'm keeping track of my mining activity.
https://tinyurl.com/zedomines
I will keep track of "daily" changes (Whenever I mine in a specific day), as well as overall mining and worth.
I mine with an Max Fortune Diamond Pickaxe.
The prices I assign are based on server prices. As a result, I will not be putting emeralds in the total amount mined. Along with that, I will use the conversion of 550 exp = 1 nether star, but I will not include the server price, nor market price due to the large variance in the price of them.
I will have some guiding questions, so I will include those along with the answers that I have discovered.
Some questions that I ponder, along with answers.
How much do I get per day of mining? This is NOT per hour, rather per day, so it's not exactly true to

Always interesting to see a mining report and yours is very well laid out, easy to read. I've decided to do an hour mining run so that you could use it as a reference for what others may be getting. Enjoy.
Time: 1 hour
Tools: Diamonds set, Max Fort 3 and silk, I Fort 3 all the ores. I use the silk on the stone to /sell hand.
Type: Caving through caves, caverns, and pre-generated mines.
Chest Finds: 3 Cat Music discs, 2 Ebooks (Feather Falling 1 and Looting 2), horse armor, saddles, name tags, and bread.
Ores and Value: Should see a google spreadsheet below.
Overall not bad start, maybe I'll post the rest of my trips here too with yours.
NOTE: I use Clar's Emporium as values for my gems here's a link.-

Incredibly useful, but I’ve decided to not look at per hour runs. I don’t necessarily have the time to do hour long sessions, and I like getting the whole day, even if i mine just for 30 minutes.
Thank you!
Thank you! Just wait until i include graphs after getting data lol.-

I've been mining on and off for the past 3 days and tracking my ores up till I when I got a double chest of coal. You can see a chart and graph above in my first post.
Coal Blocks - 26390.43 - 3477
Iron Blocks - 31439.16 - 414
Gold Blocks 5670 - 56
Redstone Blocks 5912.22 - 467
Lapis Lazuli Blocks 10593.63 - 279
Diamond Blocks 7847.03 - 31
Total: Worth Total: Items
87852.47 - 4724
I also got 8 emerald blocks and 29 nether stars, although I spent 2 on exp, so 31 overall.
I found maybe 8 spawners, not counting spider ones from mine shafts. I found 3 or 4 mine shafts.
I found plenty of bread, gun powder, golden apples, and such. Most of note, I found a Power IV E-Book.
I only caved ran and harvested ravens, I did not strip mine.
I used maxed silk pick on iron/gold and stone blocks, while I used a max fort3 pick on the other ores for EXP.
I also learned halfway through that smelting your own ores gives you mining exp, so now I will smelt my own ores.
So overall, the time it took me to fill a double chest with coal blocks, I found $80,000 worth of other ores. Overall from the 3 days of mining, I've found around $110,000 worth of ores, exp, E-Books, and other assorted items. Maybe overall I mined for 10-14 hours, I don't really know, I didn't track my hours. Overall a good haul.-

It seems like you dont ignore coal, which is fine but I feel like if you have a select amount of coal that you mine relative to redstone, you get more worth and exp even though coal is more abundent..
Also i have like 3 days worth of data to input so stay tuned :p -
SirChilledMrHobo MayorMayor ⛰️⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️Yeah, possibly when strip mining ignoring the coal will probably be better time wise as you're fine more Redstone and lapis, which are worth more and give way more EXP. I decided not to strip mine and just run the caves taking everything, seeing how caves go up and down in Y level, I can't really ignore coal as I don't come across as much Redstone and lapis always. I think its easier and less time consuming with new/players without max tools and low mining level to run caves as it takes less time the strip mining, you can keep moving and harvesting ores.

Indeed quite the rise in numbers lol

I have always kept mining coal since there is so much good stuff hidden that I hated to miss. But you mining masters convinced me to try something new (not easy for a grampa) and of course you are absolutely correct. Thanks for the data to prove it.
-
Don't I know it :p After spending years and thousands of dollars to only have mine wiped has somewhat taken the motivation for me to start over again away.
I am just too old to have at it again I think. -
If you like to mine.. it’s worth every penny. I had one as well on the old server. I’m lucky enough to have people lend me theirs for favors or what not. I will tell you if you know how to mine efficiently you can make a lot of ecd. Just clearing 200x200 I was making 20-25k hr easy.
