It would be a nation subform sticky which keeps track of all of them. It would cost $ to apply for one. It would save a lot of time/benefit users. I thought I said it would be a separate command, and that you would need to app for it. Hmm... But it wouldn't replace the current command. No issues there
How would we define nations? All the towns you've applied for? A set designated when you file the app? Would the set be able to be changed (more towns bought/applied for/transferred)? Would only you be able to do the command for your nation? Or could you appoint more players to do that? Either way, how would we designate that? (I'm not saying I'm against it - but these are things that would need to be worked out)
It would be a minimum of 2 towns, costing more for each additional town. When applying you will state who will have access to it. If not I suppose anyone listed as an owner would have to do. You would be able to add towns later on.
I assume that the command would work like: /nation addmember|removemember|am|rm nationname username like /nation addmember heaven nicit6 One of the biggest hurdles in this as far as I can see (apart from the fact it'd probably have to be custom, but that's @JamieSinn's area) would be basically redeveloping ECC's nation system from the ground up as it literally doesn't matter right now, and currently nation names don't have to be unique. With this they would.
It would be a new sticky thread, which lists all people who applied. Anyone not applied will get rid of inactive nations as it will be an updated list as well
I feel an application process is too much hassle. Why not just offer the command to all presidents+ ?
One idea I've seen in the past is the ability to turn, say, a 400x400 into one main town -- via somesort of nation creation. This would make it easier or people to add someone to the whole area, and would incentivize people to Officially Own all of the towns in their projects, etc. Not sure how many of you also lived in Lizardbay, @usernameofdeath's town, but I did. That was a 400x400 plot town, but only one of the towns had a farm, another a PvP arena, etc. Username would have to add everyone to every town, and I'm sure it was a pain in the butt.
The way it could work is that each president+ is allocated a nation, then they can add towns that they are owners of to their 'nation list' to make it part of the nation, eg /nation addtown/at townname
