OK, so this has been a long time since it was commented on, but here goes. Basically, I have a funny nether story.
One upon a time I was mining in the nether when I came across a zombie pigman. While mining quartz, I accidentally hit him and was killed (I had no armor.) I searched for a long time but eventually found my stuff, only to get killed by the pigman again. So, I took a sword with me the next time and killed him, grabbed my stuff, and did /home town to get home. However, I realized that I had left my pickaxe in the nether. Never did find it :(
So, moral of the story, always be peaceful and never pick fights. Good day to all.
