I agree that many times I can seem to be 'disproving ideas'. I think this is my personality. I am glad you haven't taken offense to what I said. I think I am the wrong person to be bouncing ideas off of, mainly because I do not PVP and am scared of going into the nether because of it. So a 'wasteland' is what I feel safer with, given the options.
First, I think you have a point. I like the thought of the nether having "something extra". I just don't know what that is. I didn't think it needed anything before, but I have no objection to it.
I am confused on two of your statements:
Are you saying you wnat people grouped together or spread out?
It did. When I first got nether access It took me many days to get far enough away that I didn't have to deal with that kind of thing. I now have 3 '/home nether' points. I no longer have to deal with it.
People go into the nether for 5 main things:
Blaze Spawners
Quartz
Glowstone
Ghast Tears
Hunting other Players
Are you saying this isn't enough of a draw? The ideas you are suggesting seem like you want to make it easier to get around and collect things, but part of the draw of the nether (to everyone but a select few of us) is the danger of the nether.
I am still open to ideas, but I don't think we've found the right formula yet in your suggestion.
(Again, I am the wrong person to be talking about this and you should get other opinions.)

No problem Emau im glad I have someone to bounce ideas off of who won't just agree or try disprove ideas without helping.
So back to your question, what I ment was that there should be a nether spawn center a place where players can group and leave for expeditions or for single players to use the multiple tp signs to warp to areas less used to prevent team encounters which lead to unwanted bloodbaths. Thats what I mean when I said even distribution of resources. The danger can still be there maybe a private pvp arena in the nether spawn or just the continuation of pvp throughout the nether.
Addressing the formula u mentioned here are the 3 big things I was trying to adress in this forum
1. Little to no drive to get a nether tag
2. Uneven distribution of resources
3. Unorganized nether wasteland

It's true that the Nether is underdeveloped, warp signs would be good to have to access nether quartz in different places.
The problem with the Nether is that there's already a PVP arena + SG. PVP in Nether becomes unattractive when you have other people that can fly and snipe you with a bow, as opposed to fighting on land in the arena. (Assuming you cannot fly in PvP arena, never tried). Aether's popular because it's a "creative" world where people can do what they want and show off, but the Nether's really kind of a get-down-and-dirty place where you just grab resources and leave.
Nether vs. Mining world
You can't build (safely) in either
Mining world is more (attractive?) with its variety as opposed to millions of netherrack
Strong arguments for Mining world as a more efficient money-maker (esp. with Quartz exp orbs being a large percentage of income), and with the fact that you can't go faster than an eff5 in nether. Safety helps too. If someone drowned you in lava in the Nether, it would count as PvP and has cause to be supported. If someone did that in mining world, ..well. -

Yes your absolutely right thats what ive been thinking the underdeveloped nether doesn't offer a stronger drive (money/item)wise as other places, but the nether is such an awesome place! So its distressing to see it so under used v.v
