I mean we are a pay to win server pre much lol. While sponsor should get something idk bout this tho +0

 

Huge -1. Prestige should be obtainable by everyone regardless of whether or not they can afford to spend $2500USD.

 

As a sponsor, I do think more benefits would be a good thing, but a prestige isn’t the way to go

 

-1 lets at least make it a challenge and obtainable to every player without payment how about new prestige is to surrender a double chest full star tools!!!

 

With the option of buying features from others for ECD, it wouldn’t make sense to restrict it to those that can only put money in the server. Rather we could say give prestige for hitting a certain donation tag on main network, maybe by hitting [$$MVP$$] at $5k in /myfeatures, which would give players an incentive to either donate or purchase features from others.

 

Why would you paywall something that's so influential to the game? Sponsors should receive certain perks sure, but only those that are EXCLUSIVELY cosmetic; nothing related to the economy or gameplay. You're being elitist.

 

And I just saw @Videowiz92's post, to which I would say: I don't think it's fair to hide a prestige behind any donation tag, regardless of whether it's your contributions or not. You shouldn't be able to receive a prestige by throwing money at the server -- they're earned through hard work and time comittment. Not only is it out of the intended scope of prestige as a whole, but it's an absurd and unrealistic ask of anybody to achieve.

 

I kinda dont understand the purpose of providing any further benefit of the sponsor title.
The sponsors have paid for their features already, many of them also receive the god keys during the promotions as well- a further boost to their current gain.
They receive the title as recognition for their contribution to the server.
They are able to modify the mansion at spawn.
They are able to sticky any post they write in addition to receiving the ECC insured from the lord himself.

I dont get why there needs to be so much more

I understand that perspective but many sponsors already have all the features in the game and in addition to that, they have the things i mentioned above which already put them WELL beyond the average player.

I feel as if the server has already rewarded their sponsors handsomely and asking for more is a bit ungrateful :oops:

 

Placing something behind a paywall makes a game unbeatable. Its like EA where you think you've completed everything but the final boss is behind a DLC

 

Prestige isn’t supposed to be something to buy, it’s something to earn. Sponsors buy their rank with the features etc. We don’t earn the rank (if that makes sense)

i am so so so against this, not everyone has the money to afford to get to sponsor, you are limiting a huge chunk of ECC's userbase from being able to qualify for a prestige that should be available to Any and all users of ECC. Make it something ingame related, even making it to have 5k worth of features I am so against as that comes to $50,000,000 ECD most people will not be able to obtain that.

If you want to add more to sponsor sure, idc, however dont make it something that gives a advantage to other users like this.

 

I will also add (as many people already said or eluded to) that prestige is an achievement for success. That’s why you get it from essentially completing a main task in a server or winning a certain competition. Sponsor rank doesn’t fulfill any of that criteria for prestige.

 

Not directed at @Jdawger when I speak here, but I'd like to point out a growing sense of Sponsor entitlement that I believe is detrimental to the overall populace for the sake of fair gameplay experience. Sponsors should understandably be cherished for their support, but some of the recent suggestions and comments about what sponsors are "deserving" of are absurd.

This is completely the wrong mindset to have about sponsors. You're fairly recognized for your contributions by being a "Sponsor", but you're not owed anything more. Andrew's intended purpose of creating the sponsor rank was made clear in a recent suggestion, where the following comments were made:

The perks of Sponsor are fine where they're at. You have: Spawn Mansion build perms, Classified Forum stickies, a unique "Sponsor" tag, AND the ability to become insured. You should feel satisfied in having supported the server in a substantial way -- you don't need more to show for it.
