No need for format, I'll keep it short and some what sweetXD I am suggesting that we add a command that protects 1-3 items (idc the amount) form being wiped after 14 days. (Unlimited time, 1 month, 6 months w/e) Similar to how /climits works where it shows how many locks you've used. It would show up like that with a denominator of 3 rather than 15, 100 etc. I think it'd be nice for users who go inactive. I realize that you can store them, but if something comes up that prevents you from logging on it's be nice it have the assurance that your tools and or items are safe I can't imagine this not being possible, but just how hard it would be to code. I'd hope it's be easy, but I know next to nothing about coding.
AFAIK, backpacks are safe from clears. Someone would need to confirm that, but I recall that you can put stuff in and it won't be wiped.
Didn't know that, ty Still think it'd be nice to have 1 item like this assuming the coding is minimal.
That defeats the purpose of the clears though. The point is to reduce the number of files moreso than the overall size. If an item is "safe" the inventory is still there and it defeats the purpose of the wipe. It is possible yes, but nowhere near actually practical to design a system like that as we may as well just not wipe inventories at that point.
A single item can not take up much space. The purpose of clears is to reduce build up/lag afaik, nkt take away priceless tools. I feel having this for 1 item would be nice.
Would this be a noticeable difference regarding the file system? I can't see it as a huge difference.
With all due respect... you don't program Think of it like this: You're in a library and you have to go grab books and scan 3 barcodes on each one. Would it be faster if you only had to scan 1 per book? Slightly, sure. But it'd be a whole lot faster if you simply had less books to go find and scan at all.
Why would I be scanning barcodes in a library at 2am? But yea I understand. And no, I don't program, I'm the furthest thing from an expert, just based off common sense can tell it wouldn't affect the server "to much" if the coding was simple.
This would technically be impossible, your entire inventory is saved in a single file, sorry. Not possible. Use your backpack! Much safer!
