I personnal use a melon sword it really helps Open Discussion: Present your case as to why this item/rank/feature would need to face nerfs or buffs. I think this item needs an upgrade because enchanted picks like max ones such has eff5 unb3 silk/for3 are making the same/more then what a melon sword makes and a melon sword costs 30 times more then how much a max pick costs for now @nicit6 @block_crusher @pat2100 @clou44 @matthew_gruber @Kick_Me_1235 @Hiccabup
Melons never went this high after melon swords. This would really add way too much money into the economy. The reason why melons were lowered was because they made too much money. An increase would defeat the purpose of the price drop as well as inflate the economy. -1
I don't ever see them going past $1.65, which is what they are valued by the server currently. $1.75 is the maximum melons will ever be worth to the server.
Melons are fine as they are. As @Original_Jackson stated above, melons will probably not go back to $2 per because of inflation.
I do not believe that melons should increase in server value. However, I agree with MinecraftParkerh's point. Efficiency 5 Pickaxes are making close to the same money per hour. And this is a problem.
He means fortune. Silk picks make less because you have to fortune the ores anyway. (not counting eff 7)
I still really think they should do something though about max picks (for3) make more, less by very little, and same as a melon sword just really doesnt make any sense and if the nerf the mining stuff there is still a big demand for them
If you think the price of the melonsword is overpriced, then I would advise you to not get one. Perhaps an eff vii pick might be more to your liking?
Lol. Great job Parker. Here comes another nerf once andrew sees it . Over the past what, 5 times melon prices have been suggested to increase in price, they've either cut melons or nerfed other farming. Just remember pumpkins used to be $0.75, seeds were $0.50 with $1.25 wheat, and melons were worth $2 at one point also. All the nerfs happened from greedy people wanting more money. Now I tag the farming genius, @kukelekuuk00 himself, to explain why this won't happen.
-1 There is a whole thread about farming prices and why the prices are where they are. Pages upon pages of explanations/conversations/debates. Before you push this suggestion further please take the time to present some figures. For starters: What would be the hourly output of the prices you suggest? What is the figure Andrew wants the number to be? Does it fall within that parameter? If it does not, would you then, as an alternative, wish to nerf other crops/mining instead? To what figures? And do they fall within the expected parameters? What are the figures for the mining tools you are quoting? Just saying you want 'higher prices' looks like you didn't research the full consequences of what you are asking. Did you really compare everything or are you just thinking that they "seem" equal.
