NewDale Providing a home for those who can't yet afford one Mayor and CEO - runboy398 Town Warp - /warp newdale THIS TOWN AND THREAD IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS What this town is: A place where players who are new to the server can find a free place to stay for their first month or so on the EcoCityCraft server. A place where new players can come to learn and experience the basic features of the ECC Server. A place where new players can come to make their first couple of EcoDollars. A place where new players can come and purchase their first apartment or house. A place where older, more experienced players, can come and purchase plots, apartments, or homes and participate in the services offered by the town. What this town is most definitely not: A town which is giving away plots to players who are new to the server but don't plan to stay here very long. A place where players can come to take advantage of the unlocked-chests rule of new plots.This is impossible anyways if you aren't a member of the town, so don't try. Newdale is a town initially conceived to provide homes in a protected town for those who can't yet afford one and plan to stay on the EcoCityCraft server.There are 3 tiers (sections) of the town in which you may acquire a home. Tier I, the "economy" section, is the one which is designed to house new players. Tier II, the condo section, is the one designed to house any client that wishes to live in an apartment. The last residential section, Tier III (Luxury), is the one designed to house clients who wish to live in a pre-built, pre-furnished home. Understandably, there are many users who wish to acquire a plot at low (or no) cost to them.Due to the high demand, I have created an application process for those who wish to acquire a FREE plot in the economy section.The application is intended to prove the player's willingness to stay on ECC for an extended period of time, as well as the player's ability to use the ECC forums.The requirements for obtaining a FREE plot in the economy section are as follows: The user must have a forum account with a minimum age of 5 days, or be of [Resident] rank on the ECC Server. The user must agree to abide by the town rules. The user must agree to not LWC lock any items on their property before 30 days have passed after they have obtained the plot.This is so that I do not have to file a LWC Unlock application and wait 7 days every time I want to give away the plot to a new player. Before 30 days have passed after the player has recieved the plot, the player agrees to either pay me, @runboy398 , $3000 ECC to stay in the plot indefinitely, or move out of the plot before the 30 day period has expired. Just a reminder, you earn more than $3000 every time you vote, so this amount is actually quite low.This is designed this way such that, mostly, only new players reside in the plots that are designated for new players. If payment is not made and the player stays on the plot for longer than 30 days, a 3-day eviction notice will be issued to the player. The player agrees to read, know, and abide by the ECC Server rules. The application for a plot in the economy section is highlighted in green below.Copy and paste this, with the proper sections filled out, into the thread reply box to apply for a FREE plot in the economy section. In Game Name: Have you read the application instruction: Do you agree not to steal from unlocked chests, and understand that if I (runboy398) find sufficient evidence that you have stolen from an unlocked chest, I will immediately evict you from the town without warning?: Before 30 days have passed after you have recieved the plot, do you agree to either pay me, @runboy398 , $3000 ECC to stay in the plot indefinitely, or move out of the plot?: Do you understand that if payment is not made and you, the player, stay on the plot for longer than 30 days, a 3-day eviction notice will be issued to you and you must move out?: Do you agree not to grief?: Do you agree to behave respectfully to the other residents of the town?: Do you agree to abide by the ECC Server rules as well as the NewDale town rules?: Do you agree to leave the plot exactly as you found it? This includes clearing any house/etc. that you built on the plot. :
