    Brief Description: no matter what I do nothing allows me to gain exp.

    Instructions: mining, farming, smelting, etc

    How many times did you recreate this bug?: hundreds

    Result: no exp gains resulting in an inability to enchant

    Expected Result: exp orbs dropping from general mining/farming/smelting

    Exp is disabled for things like farming and smelting. However, mining exp is enabled in the mining world only. I hope this helps :D

    Fishing is the only way to receive exp in the mainworld now, besides buying, or deaths of other players (but keep in mind that killing users in a non-pvp zone, and even attempted killing is a ban.) If I missed anything else in ways to receive exp in the mainworld, feel free to correct me :p

    ive tried going into mining and nether to mine neither giver me exp, thanks fot the mainworld info but fishing doesn't give me exp either

    You have to be in the Mining World to get EXP by mining.
    You can't get xp for farming.
    You can get xp for Fishing in The Mainworld, or the Mining world.
    Nether Mining XP is off, but Nether Mob XP is on.

    I am pretty sure you have never gotten EXP for farming.

    Mining exp appears to be alright (must be in mining world),
    fishing is good (mining or main worlds),
    farming doesn't give any - I can't think of a time it has,
    nether exp (from blocks) doesn't work,
    smelting exp has been disabled altogether.
