This takes into account depth bonuses, but not the additional zone bonus. Additional Information: The 200 x 200 area has been subdivided into 100 20 x 20 areas. Each area has been assigned an average depth value and assigned a letter naming the zone. The Payment system goes like this; 1 deep x (20 x 20) * $0.08 : $32 for clearing a 1 deep sector 2 deep : $64 3 deep : $96 4 deep : $128 5 deep : $160 + a depth bonus of $50 6 deep : $192 + a depth bonus of $50 7 deep : $224 + a depth bonus of $50 8 deep : $256 + a depth bonus of $50 9 deep : $288 + a depth bonus of $50 10 deep : $320 + a depth bonus of $100 11 deep : $352 + a depth bonus of $100 12 deep : $352 + a depth bonus of $100 13 deep : $384 + a depth bonus of $100 14 deep : $416 + a depth bonus of $100 15 deep : $448 + a depth bonus of $150 16 deep : $512 + a depth bonus of $150 I shall also be awarding a additional zone bonus. Effectively if you do 5 zones of a depth greater than 5 then I shall award you an additional $50 for each zone. At doing 10 zones I shall start awarding payments of $100 for each additional zone. At 15 zones completed I shall award additional payments of $150 At 20 zones completed a Bonus of $200 per additional zone shall be awarded. Reserved block for updates Just wish to note that I want an area to be completely cleared of water. Please bite off what you can chew, complete 1 zone instead of partially doing half a dozen. It makes it easier for me the paymaster to award you your due. If 90%+ of the area is not drained in the marked area then I will not award payment. Areas are 20 x 20 in size and bounded by pylons made of leaves. At their center you will find a marker saying the zones name ie. Zone A and an average depth for the zone.
true, thanks for pointing that out KM, in order to do this job you need to have a water donation feature in order to place the sponge necessary to soak up large quantities of water. It is possible to do it the other way with sand dirt and gravel but that process is far more painful.
I might be interested if the pay is a little more hearty im saving 20k and i could just get that with farming but...

Wow, that is a seriously massive effort. 200x200 = 40k blocks. Assuming that the ocean can be up to about 20 blocks deep. 40k x 20 = 800k blocks. Assuming that the entire area is 20 blocks deep AND that sponges can soak up 25 blocks of water per "perfect" placement. 800k / 25 = 32k sponge placements.
I find that the deepest is around 16 deep although I have only measured 1/4 of the area. I have added you too the region skullman and you too zardgyer. If you have time or are interested pop in and mail me what zone you have done. Try to clear the area, I have a chaotic mess in a couple zones where people followed the path of least resistance for a little while before getting bored. At schloty21 I have beefed up the money as well, if you do 15 zones you get a bonus of $150, 20 zones $200, 25 zones $250, etc. This applies to the intermediate numbers such as 27 zones done bonus will be $250 etc etc. I am trying to get people to stick it out. Its an alternative to farming, A chance to use sponges and im trying to get multiple people to help out so that I estimate 24000 sponge places each is divided between people and seems less. Plus I have yet to see a 20 deep area of ocean, the average is between 12 and 15 blocks deep. I have found several averaging a depth of 16 and only 1 17 deep average so far and I have surveyed 3/4 of the ocean
I'm a mixture of both actually. I have a bigger pumpkin farm so I try to go there but I have perms to a 100x100 melon so....
What would you quote on a large land clearing job anyways? It says in your tag. This is a sort of clearing job. I'm interested in knowing what sort of figure that wouldn't be turned down. Also when I do farm i'm more a melon guy

I want to have the water gone. I plan on doing some of the city building underground so I want to get rid of the water. Going to buy the water donor feature when I save up enough mula. I'll add you to the perms rockboy, if you complete a zone send a small mail say "I cleared zone <Name>" I keep a tally of whos done what and ill pay you accordingly
