If you are interested in participating in the EcoCityCraft Staff Team - You must follow these staff guidelines, fill them out accordingly, and re-post as a new thread. Staff Application Format: The quality and amount of work you put into your staff app will play a huge role in deciding whether or not you get picked to join the team. Putting actual work and effort into your application will leave you with a much better chance of getting moderator than someone who just hastily jotted down answers. Application: General Questions What is your Minecraft username? List your current username What are your in-game ranks? List your current rank/ranks here. Staff Applications are open for all players if they have been an active member of the community for at least 6 months. (This requires your forum account to have been registered over 6 months ago.) How old are you? When did you join EcoCityCraft? Please refer to your member page for a rough estimate. This is dependent on whether you joined the server and the forums around the same time. What time-zone are you in? What time of the day do you usually play? Do you play mostly on weekends, or is it spread evenly through the week? If you can, please include a schedule of what hours you play each day. Main Questions In your opinion, what is the purpose of Moderators on EcoCityCraft? Why do you want to be a Moderator? Do you have any experience in moderating Xenforo forums or Minecraft servers? Provide links if possible. How have you been helping the community grow bigger and better? Explain how you have helped the community and how you plan on helping even further as a moderator. The staff team is always changing and improving. If you become a staff member, what is one thing you would like to change about the staff team? What specifically do you think puts you above the other applicants? Why do you think that you may not be picked? What do you need to improve on? Hypothetical Questions Please keep in mind that hypothetical questions are not “right or wrong” answer questions. This is to explore how you would handle various situations. A new player has come on and asks a few questions in global. After getting no immediate response they start spamming the questions. How would you respond to the situation? In handling a complaint it has been noted that the user who filed the complaint on a user has not provided a screenshot of the /rn of the user, the user being accused is using a nickname in the relevant screenshots. How would you handle this complaint? You have just warned a user in chat for inappropriate chatter. They then proceed to argue with you that another user has done the same thing and that they were not warned for it and that they feel that such conduct should be allowed in chat, they also state that you were wrong, biased and they feel that you are not doing your job properly. How would you respond in such a situation? A player messages you that they have accidentally paid a sizable amount of EcoDollars to another user. They are extremely upset and panicked and the user who received the money is refusing to respond to the request to return it. How would you handle the situation? A player messages you on Discord, requesting that you join their channel. Upon joining you find the player distressed and flustered. The player explains to you that another person in the channel has been harassing them. What would you do? Practicals This section is a few practical chat situations that a Staff member may witness in chat, your objective is to determine whether action needs to be taken. “Wow that’s so ghey.” Should any action be taken? “Yeah, I have some big plans for my weekend, I plan on going to a party and getting drunk. Should be pretty fun.” Should any action be taken? Examine the sample situation: User 1: “Yeah, i’m mad that he didn’t pay me back so I’m quitting” User 2: “Maybe if you weren’t banned they would of been able to pay you.” User 1: “Man stfu” User 2: “lol, salty much?” Should any action be taken? Former Staff Questions (If you have never been on the staff team, you may leave these questions blank) When were you last on the staff team and how long were you a staff member? What was your highest rank on the staff team? What was your favorite part about being a staff member for EcoCityCraft? If you were to return to the staff team, what would you do differently?
