I tested it with shears I used to own before 1.21.10 and ones I did /own after 1.21.10 [Note: none were magic shears] 2.) Find sheep. I used a sheep spawner 3.) Attempt to shear. Fail 4.) Have unowned shears 5.) Shear same sheep with unowned shears 6.) See that it works How many times did you recreate this?: Many with all three different types of shears listed above Result: The two shears with an /own failed.
