Not really a building type of guy

I built my own PC and i'm young. If I can do it, you can do it. You can save hundreds by building it yourself. You can customize the case and literally everything to your specific need. My Dad and YouTube taught me how to. I've become a computer enthusiast now and became very vast with knowledge about computers now by learning on the internet. I have a passion for computers and want to make a career out of it.

After building my own gaming rig, I will always recommend to anyone looking to buy a desktop, build it yourself! You will save lots of money and the computer will be tailored to your very needs, it also comes with the added advantage of being a blank computer without any company or factory settings to complicate things, also most pre-built desktops are built to last just a little longer than 2 years, and if a part dies, you often have to replace the whole thing, because nothing else will compat, and buying new or upgraded parts would require you to upgrade other parts of the same tower... yeah. On a self-built, if a part dies, it is a simple matter to replace or upgrade it.
I browsed Newegg for weeks before deciding my parts, got some advice of past builders and I followed Neweggs PC building tutorial, which is very clear and concise.
I spent $1400 on my rig, and I looked on the same specs on pre-builts, and they run pretty close to $2000. -

people who say macs suck at gaming are stupid! i have an iMac and i would NEVER use a PC for gaming ever again

Macs don't suck at gaming inherently. It's just that you can't say this specific mac model is amazing at gaming, video editing, etc. You would need to spend a few thousand dollars on a pre-built mac model that would have the hardware necessary to produce good results. The same goes for PCs. You can't assume that just because it has a fancy company name or model number that it can show the results you want.
The main difference between Macs and PCs is the title, companies who are selling it, and most importantly the hardware. What you pay for in a pre-built is never going to be compareable to what you could have saved buying all the parts yourself and assembling it. You pay for the brand name and additionally the labor cost of assembling it. Some cases, when we're talking an $1000 pre-built vs what it costs to assemble yourself is usually only a few hundred dollars, while considering a few thousand dollar pre-built versus the alternative, you can find $1000+ cost difference in worst case scenarios.
You can do whatever you want. Not everyone is willing to throw money at a pre-built because they simply don't have the money while if you do have it, you could save some extra money building it yourself. The only things that could prevent you from building it yourself is not educating yourself on how to build (which isn't that hard, just takes some time) or just not wanting to deal with the process.
So in response to this:

all iMacs are pretty much prebuilts, theres not much you can change!
the quote above is my opinion so i can say what i want :) -

And yes, it's your opinion and that's fine. Thanks for clarifying that's your opinion. It's in my opinion, that you're just as bad as the people who say "macs suck at gaming" by saying you'll never use a gaming PC again. It's not only extremely opinionated but also biased, since you have an iMac yourself. I wouldn't suggest any person to go out and buy a $2000 iMac just for gaming however if you're planning on using it for other things that justify that price tag, go ahead. Nor would I suggest someone go out and buy a $2000 PC just for gaming either, unless you had some other reasons for needing so much hardware. "Gaming" computers do not require ridiculous amounts of money and they shouldn't. If you're spending a few thousand dollars to play Minecraft at a stable 80 fps, there's something very wrong. -
