:?: History /Myths of Percote :?: Percote was a town or city on the southern-side of the Hellespont, to the northeast of Troy. Percote is mentioned a few times in Greek mythology, where it plays a minor role each time. It was said to be the home of a notable seer named Merops, also its ruler. Merops was the father of Arisbe, Cleite, and two sons named Amphius and Adrastus who fought during the Trojan War. As an ally of Troy, Percote sent a contingent to help King Priam during the Trojan War - though this contingent was led by Merops, who later died by the hands of the Trojan's The Trojan's thought they had won the war as the Greeks seemed to have disappeared and had a celebration after fighting with the Greeks for 10 years. The Greeks left a parting gift of a wooden horse which they wheeled into the city, which actually contained greek warriors which killed and set fire to troy winning the war. The Trojan Hero Aeneas survived the burning city and returned to Percote where he lay dormant until today.... :!: Current Progress of Percote :!: Under Construction :!: Pictures of Percote in Progress :!: Coming Soon :?: Donations And Plot Infomation :?: Some of the members may know of this being built back in the day (Summer 2011 to be precise) and if you were around at that time, then please message me in here, if i remember you (and yes i will if you were around) then you will probably get a message asking if youd like a room within the castle. Currently not all areas have been finished and there is probably around 12-15 rooms within, Donations would be very much appreciated as i am the only one building this project and large donations are very welcome and if large enough, will grant permission to gain a room. I am also looking into making a portal (if they do them still, ive been out for awhile xD) so then i can host an array of events within the castle walls. :?: Questions or Comments :?: Feel free to ask me within this topic or in game if i am around =]
I think i do remember you I need to tag everyone in this topic when the town is nearer to completion.
There are in fact still town portals. Also, there are warps to any user who has the TP feature can do /warp (Town Name) and get right into the castle. I, however, am not old enough to be remembered.
