Hey My buddy alecolson98 got scammed during a melon sword purchase,(Edit: and lost out of 295k). Unfortunately we're not sure who did this and so it's not hopeful that this sword or the funds could ever be recovered. My friend KainHighwind16 and I decided to start a fund effort to try to see if we can raise some money to help make this better for our friends. Kain and I have both pledged to make significant donations towards this cause. Please help us out! My town spawn portal is located on the 5th floor and is on the 2nd ring from the middle, on the south side. (Which kind of actually seems like north though). Use the screenshot below to get reference for roughly where you're going. At the end of the squiggly line/path below, you'll be turning left right behind the first portal - that one is in front of mine. Hi, me and spidawg have donated 60k each to this fund, alecolson98 lost 295k so were just trying to get as close to that number as possible to help him out. So if anyone could help him out too that would be great. Thanks for coming and checking out this cause hope you donate.
The user actually got the melon sword, went /home and put it away, then came back stating he didn't have it, therefore scamming. This user doesn't deserve this as it was his own fault.
Please don't make a false accusation you don't have proof for. If you indeed have proof, please file a complaint.

His accusations were 100% false. And I would like to thank you a ton! You are awesome and this will help a lot. Me and my 2 friends irl, alcro1998 and reflex_revized, have been saving for a while for this melon sword and it was all the money we have. Currently, all three of us put together have less than 20k so this should help ton!
I would also like to add that i have been playing for 7 months and alec and reflex longer. We have never had a record of scamming buy shotgunguy has so he is that one in fault!
I would also like to say that we don't have any donation features so cant to back. So think about it I would have to have gone home come back to spawn the walk ALL THE WAY back to the ghats in a millisecond so he wouldn't notice it would have taken fall to much time!
The point is that something happened and my friend lost out $295k of hard earned money. My feeling here is that there is some kind of scam going on and so I want to reach out to my friend and help. Let's not focus on the scam part but to some it may look like shotgunboy is the scammer, and to others it may look like alecolson. The scammer may not even be known to either of these two people, we could all be getting punked here for all we know but somebody known well to none of us. There is clearly a history of "items disappearing" so something isn't not happening. For either of those of who choose to make shameful accusations, however, I hope you will soon learn better. I hope you're not really thinking about what you're doing, so take this as a friendly reminder to think about it a bit. This thread isn't for pointing fingers guys. We're playing games to have fun, let's not loose sight of that. So far we're at $120,000 ECO$ I will hold onto this and pay it in one lump sum 48H after the last post which contains a valid pledge, at which time I will be asking for the closing of the thread as well as asking any further donations to be made directly to the victim.
UPDATE: I am totally caught off guard here and didn't expect this so soon, I checked the sign and there is presently $34,780 so far in total anonymous donations towards this cause!!! THANK YOU WHOEVER YOU ARE!!! Now we're at $154,780 ECO$ !!!!
Found a few nether stars donated towards this cause, but otherwise no other activity. I will be discontinuing this activity at this time with a total of: $234,000 raised and payable to alecolson98 Mod+ please lock.
