By the way, Residents+ and anyone above are allowed (without any penalty fee) but builders are going to include a fee AND background check ($$$ amount which has not been decided yet). If you have been complained about and/or banned, your chance of getting in will be slim depending on the nature of your past bans/complaints. And as origami mentioned, since it is a japanese theme (meiji era-ish) you must comply to the building standards of that time period. There will also be several available pre-built homes to come!

-edit- I forgot to mention although builders will have to pay an initial fee when purchasing a plot, builders can move into our builder-friendly "Hotels" which will accommodate basic ECC server needs such as a private room, chests, stove, etc... without paying the expensive fee. They just won't be able to build or significantly modify the room in any way. This is a way for builders who are still building their way up to be able to live affordably & safely in this town before becoming Residents+ and able to purchase plots of their own.

origamimaster10 I will be posting the official thread for Kyoto for it soon once I finish constructing some other projects for the town and build a portal there.

If you are interested in the idea behind this town and would love to become apart of it, Pm me in game for a TP and visit what we have done so far (which isn't much xD). I am looking for skilled builders who are voluntarily willing to build certain buildings (example marketplace, dojo arena, hospital, etc) but will have their names marked on the building and a free plot of choice in the town. do you have a portal yet? if so what floor. id like to visit. if you noticed my personal house in DarkWatch is Japanese style so I am interested in seeing your town.

 

No I haven't had a portal setup yet. I finally have the funds for it but have yet to construct a building for it. You can msg me in game for a tp.

 

Just a couple screenies of the town so far... Mind you my graphic is set on med/low and I am currently not using any texture packs at the moment. xD

Public Pumpkin and Wheat (Rice Paddy) Farm. The wheat isn't placed very efficiently but that's not the point. I just wanted to make it look like a rice paddy field on the slopes of the hill. I may build a separate, more efficient wheat farm some other day, not just for ro-play like this one. xD



The "Ender" Tree (supposed to be a Sakura/Cherry blossom tree) and the Donation temple. You can see the Dojo Battle Arena in the far background (also in my signature).



More to come!... It's a lot more difficult and more of a challenge than I initially thought when I decided to make a Japanese-influenced town, but it's been a lot of fun! Hopefully I will be building the place for the Town Portal soon. Lots of plots still available! 'Can even give you customized-size plots if there's a spot.

This town is not going to be entirely flattened. I am keeping lots of natural hills, trees, and even a part of the original river that ran through the edge of the town. I want to keep it as natural as possible. It's located at the very edge of ECC mainworld so most of it's surrounding environment has been unspoiled and I want to keep my town that way. I'll be building around hills, ponds, and forests. This won't be your regular flat town!
