We all know about the huge grief on ecc, and many more like it. Nodus and x-ray are 2 big hacks that almost NO servers allow as it is unfair play. There for i am proposing that nodus and x-ray and nodus be removed from minecraft multiplayer. This will not affect if you have downloaded it and use it on singleplayer. But if you try to get on a server with one of those hacks involved then you will not be able to join any server that doesn't allow it. Servers will have the option of allowing nodus-x-ray if they want to, but default is nodus and x-ray are disabled. Post reactions below
um there called hacks for a reason. Its not so simple as turning them off. (no matter how nice that would be.)
Nodus is built to work for multiplayer, it's built for griefing and spamming. Why would they even consider stopping their own creation in multiplayer? Let's explain, the ONLY way of stopping nodus would have to be something BUILT IN nodus that allows you to disable it serverside. (like CJB does)
It's would be really rude to remove both of those from MINECRAFT they worked really hard to make them deal with it!
It's impossible. X-ray protection is different though, ECC has a form of it. Many other servers use other protection plugins
You know, I actually like Nodus. Being a Java programmer myself, I appreciate the fancy things it has to offer, it is actually a clever bit of coding. Nodus has a bunch of useful tools that can make the game easier such as radar and waypoints. Just because some people use Nodus to exploit and greif doesn't make it a bad client, I support the Nodus client although I don't agree with the greifing aspect of it. You guys are ignorant to judge the client based on little knowledge, I bet most of you haven't even heard of it until the indecent.
None of them are as convenient as the Nodus menu system. Plus, I'm used to working with Nodus, I have made some of my own addons that work with it.
It wont be, everything is done on the client's side, and doesn't send any packets or whatnot to the Nodus servers. Accounts are stolen through the server side, I think they try and catch a users credentials when they log into the server, because they have to verify. I don't know much about that though, I only work with the Nodus client, which people don't get, is completely separate from the infamous "session stealer". I've worked a lot with Nodus, and I assure you it's not software that will steal your account. If your account is stolen it's because of your own stupidity.
