Why would they be happy? Because that would inflate the economy, big time. You can still make 14k an hour or so with pumpkin farming. Melons are the superior crop, and it should stay that way.

 

Right but the people with a melon sword and the people with the pumpkin axes still bring lots of money into the economy daily, it doesn't matter what everyone else is making, it matters what the biggest amount you can make is.

$0.50 is a fair price... you can insta-break pumpkins with an axe that costs only 8k.

 

$0.50-0.55 I think is all that will ever happen, unless of course in the next update eff5 tools can break melons (Like they used to) then the price would be raised to balance with melons.

Actually also you should all sell your melon swords and it's the reason why I never bought one (Mojang does not have a superior tool for melons yet has one for every other block, they're bound to make one eventually)

 

This is why I hate vanilla minecraft, interferes with our economy -.-
