Moss stone, and the rarer moss stone bricks, are currently one of the "medium priced" decorative building block, in reference to regular stone/wood and quartz blocks. The new 1.8 update, that is supposed to be released this month, allows for the crafting of moss stone and moss stone bricks

Due to their somewhat rare occurrence, they are reasonably priced at $3 for moss stone and $5 for moss stone bricks. However, in the 1.8 update, players gain the ability to craft said blocks, by using 1 cobblestone and 1 vine for the regular moss stone, or 1 vine and 1 stone brick for moss stone bricks. The current price of vines are $0.75 per unit. Due to this update, players could farm vines and combine them with stone bricks to sell for $5 per. I believe that this could be used to create an easy source of money for people.
