Purpose​

Find most effective way to farm pumpkins considering both the difficulty and profitability of each method used.​

Process​

Used stopwatch to record time taken clearing a strip of pumpkins at "/warp farm".
One strip is ~2,000 blocks (2x1000).

An efficiency 5, unbreaking 3 axe was used.​

Recorded total amount of pumpkins farmed and profit earned in elapsed time.
Pumpkins were sold at "/warp highgarden".​

Derived the hourly profit by using:

3600 / [time elapsed] * [profit]

*Actual hourly profits will be less. The time taken to sold the items was not accounted for.
I have just included them to use as loose reference.​

Methods​

Methods vary in:

• Speed used (/speed)
• Sprinting or walking
• Clearing one row or two rows at a time (straight-line or zig-zag)

The way I see it, there are two ways of pumpkin farming:

If doing one row at a time, I recommend speed 6 or 7 and sprinting.

If doing two rows at a time, I recommend default speed and sprinting, or upping your game by upping your speed.​

 

Never thought of this method. I'll have to try it out
