It needs to happen farming is not even worth it now
in mining you make to much money i think raising the prices just by 25 cents would make it worth farming

 

Mining does not make way to much at all, at most you make 14-16k an hour. Farming pumpkins is about that same, it is worth it. Especially with a eff 4-5 axe.

 

I wish i made that much mining and do you farm 16k pumpkins in a hour noooo thats 2.25 pumpkins a second and i know i dont farm 2 stacks in a minute so you do not make that much farming.

 

May I refer you to the wiki? http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Iron_Axe A diamond axe with no enchants mines 1 pumpkin in 0.2 seconds. Then here http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Enchanting efficiency = +50% mining speed per level. I don't really feel like doing the math on that but I believe it is a lot more than 2.25 pumpkins a second.

 

Farming is still worth it, get some enchantments and you will make 18-24k an hour.
