    How can I see a 3-D model of minecraft skins?

    Yea, and pressing F5 to get 3rd person, getting the sides and back :p

    Use the minecraft skin editor. You'll be able to download the skins and view them in a window. (its like a pimped out paint or PS -> just for minecraft skins, very basic, but very useful)

    You're able to rotate your character in the box in the lower left, and see what your character looks like as you build.

    This is how I made my skin :D
