Minecraft Username: killrdarknes Brief Description: At (seemingly) random times, my chat messages will suddenly delay by about 5-15 seconds. Instructions: 1. Chat 2. Sometimes all messages stop sending, and will post en masse 5-15 seconds later. 3. Seethe. How many times did you recreate this?: At least 10 times. Result: Chat lags and stops displaying/sending messages for 5-15 seconds. Expected Result: Chat displays and posts your messages at normal. Evidence: Numerous users experience it. If I knew a cause I'd try to catch a video, but I genuinely have no clue. It's happened to me on Main, Skyblock, VMR, different versions/mods, happened to different users... no idea. Some things to note: -Using /ch QM will 'bypass' the chat lag, and will allow you to chat normally, even in the middle of a 'lag spike'. -Server isn't lagging at all during this. No block lag, no command lag. I have no idea why specifically chat lags.
Can you still reproduce this issue? The timing of this lines up with the dates around which mojang had some issues with the xbox services stuff used for the client block lists
I believe @bsqt and I were having issues earlier with chat lag, though Andrew wasn't. I'm not sure about everyone else.
you can also send the same message a second time and it goes through. A different message may or may not get lagged, but the resend always goes though.
