If you have lost tens of thousands of dollars to builders, you should have been smarter with your money. Every time I make a transaction, I take a screenshot of it and don't delete that screenshot for at least a week, no matter what. If I would lose money, I would report it to the forums, put up a complaint, and get my money back. Don't complain about money you've lost if you haven't been responsible with it, Chung.
Oh, and I was a builder once, and since you said that more are "spam, scam," and "grief" builders than okay builders, I'll just assume that I'm part of the majority, since I'm more likely to be right.

 

Your advertisements had nothing to do with my decision to become a resident. I did it so that I would have access to the mining world for exp farming (and now looking for emeralds), not so that I could work for you. As you can tell, I haven't asked you to hire me at all, nor will I, since I am one of the few at my level who know how to earn money without having to work for someone.

 

Yes, I'm a builder by choice (I think Resident+ do not have much to offer me really, certainly not $15,000 worth of value) and I will stay that way. Due to "rankism" I donated, which seems to have fixed most attitudes against me. Tho I have been griefed or had people attempt to grief me that were well past builder rank, I think the issue is per person, not by rank. The rank simple serves as an easy way to sort people, and whenever that happens there is always bias.

I will say I'm bias, against ignorance and apathy, however I consider both infinitely correctable things. :)
