Hey guys its me martylehl I just wanted to suggest a really good idea/ really clever idea for towns . At the moment while the town that I live in was falling apart if some-one claimed the town they should be able to move the town. (you are not able to do this yet) So I was thinking if you guys can make this a command that you need to buy or something or maybe add it to the ranks. (your choice) Ways Of Use 1. Moving claimed towns to your other town (if you own one) 2. Moving a town to real land 3. Or you can claim an old town and extend/add it your new one So there are some ways that it can help but it will be very useful It may take some work of prob ramming but it will be well worth the time being or it can be a side project (your choice agen)
I don't that this is possible. It would require the deletion and re-creation of the protected region which would cause all members to be town members to be cleared etc. Not to mention the fact that to move what is within a town would require world edit, which GAs don't have access to. Suggestions to be able to rename claimed towns have been rejected countless times, and this is even more drastic so I don't see it ever happening. Also, I have moved this thread to the Suggestions forum.
-1 I agree with Dewsy92 this will cause problems and it cannot be implemented because of the restrictions on the staffs commands. However if this could work and didn't have the problems above this would be awesome.
This isn't possible nor would it be reasonable. Even if it could be done, there's no way Andrew or any of the developers would spend so much time to do such a petty task.
I'd agree with one thing...the relocation of the town area itself. Not anything inside it (WorldEdit), but only the town (WorldGuard). Imagine this situation... You are planning to do a 400x400 town. However, when you have 3 towns ready somebody creates a town a little misplaced. Even if you claim/buy it, you can't connect it. Now, what if you could pay - say 100k - to relocate the town to fit the 400x400 area? Wouldn't this be helpful? Aswell, it would delete all homes by exposing them to the wild, so of course an official eviction thread would be needed.
