Removing Ice

    Is there any of removing ice, so that it doesnt come back?

    Well, ice only comes back if your in a snow biome because water freezes in snow biomes. So if you dont want the ice, you need to get rid of the ice and the water it gives you, or dont build in a snow biome.

    Edit: Mhm, i saw your location. It is a snow biome indeed =/ You'll need to make your reed farm elsewhere or cutoff the rows in the snow biome :(

    ice will not form near any source of light besides the sun so place torches and glowstone.

    from building the golf course, ive learned that water will NOT freeze into ice if there is some kind of block directly above that piece of water. I dont know how many blocks above the water that the effect will stop, but heres an example:

    [ ] -any kind of block
    ___ - Air
    ~~~ - water

    Then the water will not freeze into ice :) Or just place torches around, that works, too
