knears2000 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️But that is three of how many? Hundreds of thousands? It goes to show how SG is ran by kits, and only a few, maybe 1% of the non-kitters survive.
-
It is true, over half the people I know only bought kits so they had a chance of winning, and I am sure many people will agree with that.

I've now pretty much quit SG because of kits. I'm full on Efficiency 7 mining. I feel that is much more fun way for me to make money. SG is now losing members everyday, it I don't ever feel that it will be the way it used to be.

Well, since I was mentioned here...
Most people know my situation, and how I have become fairly successful at SG. Honestly though, I never came to ECC for the SG. I had no clue what it even meant (I was a multiplayer nub) and came for the economy. I picked up SG later, as a Resident. I cannot explain how many times I thought about quitting ECC because of kits. But I didn't. I saw it as a challenge, and took it by the horns and did well. Why did I never get kits? Because I made money just fine without them.
However, at this point, kuke is entirely right. The SG has become a kitPvP hybrid, which is not necessarily a bad thing; however, when something does not do as advertised, people don't like it. If the name changes, it will reflect the true personality of the game and really explain what the SG really is.-

I personally like Kit Games better, but this is all kind of beside the point since ECC most likely gains a decent amount of money from kit sales, or they wouldn't have started to offer them. Changing the name or advertising to reflect kits, will most likely deter people from joining the server in the first place... since most are looking for a pvp system based on skill not a persons bank account. So it's a question of giving all the information and labeling stuff correctly to build a community or getting people to join by giving them a skewed description of the server and leaving out vital information. -
That's because its not like SG. It uses the same maps and you pvp but that's about it. The "Games" part of Kit Games is about how close these "Survival Games" are actual Survival Games. Real SG's require skill, these just require a credit card.
-
The thing that makes sg sg is the chests and stuff. Since it still has that, it is still sort of like survival games. But I'm not going to argue about this, they both work.

Just make "Kit Games" (aka the current SG) like Kit PvP and add a separate lobby/boards for actual Survival Games. And make it you earn the same amount of money from both/more money from Kit PvP, which is a good name for SG nowadays anyway.

This will probably prevent users from ragequitting from the server.
However maybe name it something else, survival kits sounds a bit weird in my opinion. -
One problem. You can't call it "survival kits" because the builders who didn't pay for them wouldn't have them.

Then the majority of people wouldn't have kits…. So you couldn't call it kitpvp
