These 2 sections are arguably the most important on the forums. But they're all the way at the bottom, and they're confusing. Very confusing. For one, even when you know which section you're supposed to go to you still don't know how to actually apply for anything, because the applications are ON THE WIKI. Which is confusing, much too confusing. Why are there no sticky threads with formats? Now I have to go to the wiki to find applications, and a new user gets told to "apply on the forums" BUT WHERE?! Sure, it's easy for resident applications, but anything else and you're shit out of luck. My suggestion is this: reorganize the forum to be easier to understand and traverse. Something like this: Applications Staff / Wiki Team Applications Rank Applications Aether / Nether Applications Resident Applications Mayor Applications President Applications Tycoon+ Applications Medal Applications Market-Shop Applications Town Feature Applications (note: town-town portal, town warp, town move, town transfer, pvp, healsign, etc) Additional Town Applications Teamspeak Applications (because putting applications in another section is absolutely bonkers) Staff Requests LWC / Trade Sign Removals (the custom tag sticky should be put in general discussion or in help & support.) Grief Reports Contracts And on top of that, move these two sections to be right below the general discussion section. Because right now they're all the way at the bottom, and it's just silly. And, move the application information from the wiki, to sticky threads in the sections they apply to. (just like LWC requests, contracts, etc) Because utilizing the wiki to provide information that should be available on the forum is just bonkers. It's not even clear that this information's on the wiki. A user has to ask to find out, they shouldn't have to ask, it should be intuitive. A new user should know what to do without asking questions. Right now, it's not even close to that. (there are more things that have this problems, I'll write suggestions about those, too, sometime.) As with anything I suggest, it's open to improvement, as what I propose is just a quickly thrown together idea.
that is a possibility, but it comes with the downside of people not reading stickies and filling out the forms the same way people agree to user agreements. By just checking a box or filling out a field without reading what it's about. It depends on what andrew wants, I guess. Ease of use would be forms. People properly understanding the rules and ranks would be no forms.
+1 for condensing the forum layout. Being more forums have to be made for the new hub sections coming out. It would be wise to condense these down into smaller forums.
