UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeLWCs weren't meant for taking goods from other users. They were meant for clearing room in the town for more residents. And how are we penalizing you? We aren't fining or taking away anything from you, just the stuff that belongs to the scammer....

+1, personally as a scammed victim, this would make life a lot easier, because the dude that scammed me, had the money but never repayed. this would help remove that.

Because people were complaining that their items were getting sniped by people.
This would only involve a small percentage of lwc's, only scamming ones, other ones from inactivity would still be protected for 12 hours by the system-

-1 for 2 points...
1. I think that if you file a LWC request you should put all the items in a chest (more if needed) and lock it, now only players who live in your town (ot towns) can get free stuff out of it (a small perk of owning a plot there).
2. You sell items and give loans at your own risk. (also you could ask for donations from other players bc you got scammed) -
UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeAgain, LWCs weren't meant to take random items, they were meant to clear room for the town. "You sell items at your own risk" What?!? Selling items to players is an essential part of the economy, and what makes ECC an economy server. As for you saying you can ask for donations, the most you'd get by asking for donations is like $100. Most people don't get scammed that little, so asking for donations is pointless.

legotom001 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Ok when selling (most) items, use trade sings, simple low-no risk.
And it dose not matter what LWCs where meant for, it matters what they are used for.
And the original suggestion was to get what you could out of it, hopefully all of it. -
UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeWhat they what?

legotom001 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️What they are used for.
Sorry, the page refreshed a day I did not see that it was removed from the draft. -
UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeWhat about loans? Yes, you loan at your own risk, but loans are an essential part of the economy.
-
The point is not that 'it's at your own risk' at all. The point is that, once people are banned, it doesn't matter what they owe because they have no way of paying it back.
I feel that the owners of the people in these towns aren't getting penalized at all. How can they be penalized for having a person in their town when what's in that person's LWC's wasn't theirs in the first place? Being penalized imply's that something is being taken away that was their right. They had no right to anything in the chest in the first place.
The only reason that the town owner would be able to get into the LWC'd chest in the first place is because the scammer is banned. Doesn't that also mean that the person who was scammed, filed the complaint, and got the person banned should get the LWC's? -

Log in, vote, sell your nether stars, log, out repeat till you get your money. -
UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeExtremely irrelevant to what I was saying. Please read the full post, and respond.
-
legotom001 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️I did read read your full post, you get money from selling nether stars just as well as from a loan (you just have to pay the loan back), so if you wait a tad you can get your money both ways. Also on a side note, I am 100% agenst loans.
-
UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeWhy against loans? If you really want ECC to be a realistic economy server, you gotta have loans. They're part of any economy! Also, back to your nstar example, people generally loan at high interest rates, such as 10-20 percent, so say I loaned someone 50k, and they pay me back 10k, or 20 percent of what I loaned them! That's way more then voting.
-
legotom001 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Ok here is why I am agenst loans, I sold a tool to someone on a payment plan, next thing I know they are looking for a loan so they can get a higher rank.
Also I'm talking about the player looking for a loan and not the loaner.
And on a side note, I never said I wanted the game to be as realistic as possible. -
UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeWell, people can get loans responsibly, not everyone who takes loans is a scammer. I know a lot of staff who have token out loans for spawn shops, star tools ect. Also, about ingame being realistic, well this is minecraft and not everything can be realistic but ECC is aiming for it somewhat. Why were the stock trader and sports book added? To make the economy more dynamic, realistic and fun! Yes, I know in the real world you don't make 10k per hour, but ECC wants to be *somewhat* realistic. And for loaning, being realistic isn't really what is the advantage, but more of loaning increase economic growth and is important to any economy.

I like the idea, but I have 3 things I would like to say:
1. If it were to happen, the auctions should only impact perm banned users or banned users that have been off for 30 days without filing an appeal. I think 1 month is enough time to decide whether you're coming back or not.
2. I'm not sure if this would be very successful. I'd expect someone who gets banned for loan scamming would have some good tools. I personally would keep my good items in my own town, so that if I were gone for too long, they wouldn't be lwc'ed. A loan scammer probably does the same thing, so the only things that can be sold within 6 months are dirt, cobb, etc. Once the town is claimed, then the owner can file an lwc. But what's the point in filing a town claim if you're not going to get anything out of the chests because of the size of the loan or late fees?
3. Who decides the starting bid of items? The lwc's filer may want an eff VII to start at 800k while the scammed user wants it to start at 1 mil. The lwc filer technically owns the item since it was in his town, but the money is going to the victim. This could be a problem if it is implemented without being specific.
