Request that admin develop a way for ingame restitution from players that violate the rules and cause financial setbacks to other payers.
I understand life is not fair however in a matter of seconds one player caused enough havoc to several players of which I was one that for us all to have complete recovery may take days and thousands of eco dollars plus exp. The victims of these events take days to recover and the time to post pictures and complaints then the time of the admin to address the issues. I think showing some remorse would be in order. I would like to see something in the order of a 50% cut in all moneys received in all transactions until a certain dollar fine was repaid. The other 50% would be collected distributed to the victims as some sort of compensation.
As a player with limited time and working my butt off enjoying the game this is a major setback for me.

How are we supposed to do this though? If you levy a fine on transactions, players will just use items instead. This is easily avoidable, and all you're just doing is discouraging players from using EcoDollars with transactions.
Our current system already has restitution - When you appeal a ban, you're required to pay back those whom suffered loses due to your actions. While the system may not be puppies and rainbows, it works and it's really the only feasible system.
While I understand why you're upset and where you're coming from, this suggestion would solve nothing. Though, @priMELval has an interesting suggestion to block TPs inside a PvP area. That's a good suggestion and it's definitely feasible. -

Its just frustrating because I did /own on my tools the took screen shots of the items but did not move the screen shots from the minecraft folder. I know major brain fart. At a later date I had issues with minecraft and ended up reloading the game and lost all my screen shots. I lost 2 picks 1 shovel and 2 axes along with 4k or so exp when i died. Its all lost and i get my hands slapped and told I did bad because I did not bar the windows of my game to protect my self in every way conceivable. I would like to see ECO to do better to protect innocent players who are not able to spend all their time reading all the little nuances of how things work. We just want to play and not be attacked maliciously then have to spend a day recovering. I would agree that this could all have been prevented by not allowing a tp to a pvp location. I will suffer the loss but would like to prevent it from happening to other players in the future.

Cause that is what is currently happening to a few people.
/own doesn't help you now
Luckily no one lost there stuff as @BaccaAMP got the other persons stuff back.
And i know someone who managed to do /back in time before her EFF7 would have been taken and /own removed.-

The /own is an incomplete feature and a false sense of security. If you do not have screen shots of your /owned tools its no good. Also if the /owned tools are dropped into lava by another player when they die they are gone as well. I would assume that if they are run down to broken they would be gone as well. In either case the tools are unrecoverable. I had an experience with a /owned axe that I lent out and the player fell into lava and died. that was unrecoverable even though the tool had /own on it and I had a screen shot of that. There is also no record by the server to provide compensation to the owner of the tool for the work it took to acquire it. I had screen shots of my tools in this case, I then had problems with minecraft and reloaded the game on my computer and lost the screen shots of all my tools. I did not think to re shoot them or move the screen shots out of the screen shots folder until this event. In this case I was the victim of a player that was an alt of a perm banned player and I lost an estimated 41k of enchantments and tools. The admin can not and will not do anything at all to help me. I have had better experiences with other games and personally owned in-game equipment and I believe that this server could do better for its players. Have the server send me a check or adjust my exp something for compensation to victims in events like this.

Wonders how many people have actually been told apart from saying if you are killed in PvP, your /own dissapears.
*Looks on the Forum and Wiki for extra details on /own command*
Nope, cant find anything, care to link me to that infomation? Or is that from the Server Admin knowledge? -

I think blocking tps into pvp arenas would be the best way to go i got killed and was able to convince him to give me my stuff back (just a set of prot 4) but before i tped to him i had taken my msword and eff7 outa my inventory to make space but with all these alts that are getting on and scamming as well as killing people in pvp it is a problem because people who like to help builders (provide ereps tps and water placements and stuff) are at a big risk i guess the best thing to do to avoid this would be to either wear prot 4 and bring a sword when u go to help people so if they try and kill u then u can kill them or just to type /spawn since there is no cool down time on that.

Even better: tps into pvp areas shouldn't be blocked, but the recipient of the tp request should be prompted with a "this is from a pvp area, are you sure?"-

All and all, it's an idea that's been down before, and it doesn't seem like you've put any thought into it. If you can answer my questions, I might get a better grasp on this suggestion. But I honestly see no way you could implement this into the server at this point, as it raises WAY too many question about the logistics of it all.
Definite -1 from me at this point.
