Multiple reasons.
-Some stuff I won't admit to ;)
-Dope themes like the triforce
-I can change my gio location in the case my parents wanted to track my phone. Ie I can be in Florida right now with a click of a button.
-There are apps like "flex" where it makes my screen more yellow at night time so that my eyes don't tear up when I watch my screen.
-I changed my text message bubble colors to red and white.
-I changed my control center, ie this: , changed that background to a surprised Patrick picture.

-To add jail breaking your phone isn't an illegal activity, according to congress. It's what you do with said jailbreak that makes it illegal. Ie download apps for free.

I'm a computer science major, so I'm a total nerd and I've coded a couple games that aren't that bad imo lol. And with a jailbreak I can access my iPhone's root directory and change literally anything I want :)

I got a newer phone once my screen was starting to pop off back in December, so I have to wait for the newer jailbreak to come out sadly.

But most people jailbreak to simply download themes and what not.
