No. Thera is a spawn town. Tauron is a spawn town. Ascension is a spawn town. This is just a town that happens to be just close enough to spawn that it seems valuable.
And plus, the only connection to spawn is a road that goes through multiple towns. The owners of said towns may decide to remove said road and there's nothing whoever buys this is going to be able to do. Not like that many people are going to walk for that long.
Sorry if I seem a bit pissed but frankly I'm tired of seeing this town so overpriced.

 

I'm well aware of its location, but my point still stands. The town could be completely isolated as other, closer towns change hands and new mayors break the roads.
When you say "spawn town" people think of the four bordering spawn, regardless of the other twenty that have absolutely no connection with spawn and are basically worth as much as any other town.

 

I agree that there should only be 4 towns worth the name "spawn" towns in each world. I have also been a proponent of truth in advertising rules on the server in regards to what is stated when selling towns. The fact is that even towns that are 1 town off of spawn would have no right to expect access from the spawn unless they are the technical owner of one of the 4 towns.
That said, Oxwood has every right to ask whatever price he wants for any town he owns, wherever they are as long as there is no deception.
If you want to buy the town, pay what he is asking or make an offer.
If not, move on and leave the thread.

 

Just my 2 cents here, which are totally biased as I paid quite a bit of money for one of these spawn* towns in auction, but these towns were auctioned and sold as spawn towns - the same designation should still apply. As well they still see several times as many foot traffic as ordinary far-from-spawn towns. It's also worth noting that rules were placed on the purchase of these towns requiring working to provide access to others around, however like a lot of other things at the time, the exact posts stating such have been lost to time.

For what it's worth as owner of nearby Imperium (one of the two towns you'd need to go through) I'm extremely willing to work with any owner of Zenith on how they want there town connected with Imperium - I have no intentions of denying this access.

 

Biased or not, your point is well taken regarding what is marketed as a spawn town. The server did sell them as that and you are correct that they should remain that then. I remember access being discussed and suggested, but, did not know there were rules requiring access.
Your offer means a lot as you have shown yourself to be a fair and generous player, however, as these towns are sold agreements may not be honored so I stand by my point that truth in advertising these towns should let the buyer be aware that access is not guaranteed.
Many newer players may see these towns as having access to the spawn since they were not here when this was originally auctioned.
A quick look at Legacy spawn will show what happens when access is completely cut off. Simply trying to walk out of that spawn was basically impossible. I will admit that I have not tried to walk out of the rising spawn so I am uninformed of the ease of walking around to all the surrounding towns.
Oxwood makes no promises in this thread, just simply is trying to sell a town.

 

Incidentally, I didn't know that this thread was active again, and I might be interested, although it would require a payment plan, as I am constantly cash-poor but quite capable of buying a melon sword on a payment plan, then finishing the payment plan in one-half the time allowed. Is the $1,000,000 price firm?

 

This is the perfectly flat town that directly abuts @Nicit6 in Imperium? And is it solid land or ocean with dirt on top?
