Does "as few signs as possible" also mean that we do not need to incorporate giant signs like "Market," "Hub," and "Nether" because those will be holograms ... or do we still have to include the big signs?

My reply is in no way official, but I think "big signs" are ok. I assume that you mean something like those in current spawn, i.e. structures made of many blocks conveniently arranged to form big words. The problem with signs is lag, afaik, and therefore it applies only to the actual minecraft sign item.

 

Could we get a list of people that are participating in the original post?

 

Incidentally, I would like everyone to know that if I win or place (and there are runner-up prizes) in this competition, I do not intend to keep any of the prizes. I've already achieved every ECC goal I ever had, except building a new spawn and new market (hint, hint). So I will in all likelihood hold some sort of giveaway for any cash prize, if I win or place.

 

I think building spawn/Market is an honour and an achievement on anyones part especially people who specialise in building on ECC such as you and myself. Good luck :D

Question: can all portals be two blocks deep and still functional? Is there any reason why they would need to be three blocks deep or deeper, the way some of them are now? Or is that just aesthetic?

 

Aesthetic. The actual portal is a single block deep. Do as you wish ;P

Would the signs at SG need to be like they currently are (like put down the signs that are in the sg boards)?

Q. Do we have to keep the random warp board near the mining world since there is an option to just do /wild land. If we have to keep it. Does there have to be space for the exact amount of warps signs that there is now or can it be less or more?

If I remember, the terms for your appeal were that you were not permitted to compete in future competitions. If this is correct, then you would not be able to.
