My only useful suggestion for something like this would be a second test server, where updates could be tested before being copied over to replace the main server.
Users could test the new server and break anything without the repercussions of causing havoc on the main server.
Of course that is future thinking and does not help the current situation.
Best of luck. -

The staff does, yes. However, there is no telling how the server will run with 200 users. And you never know, some of the things other users do more often like possibly pumpkin farming could help easier dig up all the issues.RyanJF1 said:They test them before they update.Lasivian said:My only useful suggestion for something like this would be a second test server, where updates could be tested before being copied over to replace the main server.

Why do you think the server had issues in the first place when testing was done? All the users cause the server more stress. Sometimes, the server might even just need to be up for a while, etc. I can see why it might be a good idea to have a second test server to test it or something like that. -
No, you're missing my point.
The idea of a beta server is to allow the users to come find the bugs, without the blowback of those bugs disrupting the "real" gameplay. -

I see what your saying. And, its not that bad of an idea. But to host another 200 cap server is a ton of money.Lasivian said:No, you're missing my point. So how long will it take (if it ever will) to get the cap back to 200?
-
To be frank were going to be in trouble if the cap doesn’t get back up to 200 at some point. The base of the economy is the notion that new users will join and buy up resources and property. (Especially property) If only established players can join the server (donators) were going to start to see towns not be able to sell plots and interaction among players slow down. (Why would one president, mayor buy a diamond pick when they already have one or more.) I know there’s a lot of residents and some builders who have donated, but I’m guessing they already have a plot or two and the resources they need to make their own cash. Mind you I’m not saying that the cap needs to be raised right now, or even to 200 again, just that we need to make sure enough new players can join to feed the economy (Plot sales is probably a better word there.)
(of course when I was writting this the server wan't full, lol oh well.) -
I'm pretty sure they would have done a full backup before upgrading to 1.3 <_<Thecreator767 said:Would probably be a REAL pain to downgrade all 600 modsthehockeykids2 said:is it possible to downgrade the server back to 1.2.5, and then upgrade to 1.3.2 with the bug fixes?Click to expand...Click to expand...

Everything since 1.3.1 has been a work in progress. Please remain patient with such concerns. We have been looking into raising the player cap beyond 200, not lowering it. The server is and has been growing.rosypolly said:To be frank were going to be in trouble if the cap doesn’t get back up to 200 at some point.Click to expand...
