Moved to suggestions upon request

 

Now that i actually read the post... the reason global chat is white is basically because every other color is taken. For example
Green party chat
yellow local
Blue auction
Red staff alerts
Strange pinkish purple color private messages
Grey trade
Black is unreadable

Really, there isnt a good color left to use, so global is White. Also, it is the default text color / the default chat...

Sorry i didnt read earlier, bacon burgers assaulted my senses xD

 

It will make a colorful mess and people won't be able to distinguish chats anymore.
I say no.

Based on rabidworm's response it seems chat is already color coded. Just not for ranks, lol.

 

Is your chat all white?
If so, get optifine it fixes chatcolors.

I accidentally voted only in global... I say NO!!!! I don't want rainbow barf in the left hand corner of my screen!
