This would encourage more creative farms, instead of that ugly stack of nether portals that me and most other active players are guilty of building.

We need a wider variety of ways to get levels, and villagers/emeralds are the most obvious thing to boost.
I'd even support raising emerald blocks further to 300, but 250 is still an improvement.

Farming emeralds would also put a smaller load on the server than gold farms. Right now, gold farms are an incredibly inefficient, laggy way of generating levels, and it's ridiculous that they're the only real option for people who weren't lucky or rich enough to get an iron golem spawner.

 

I agree. With the recent stacking changes those ugly portals have to be even larger than before to get any results. I would only be in favor of this if it’s to be implemented at the start of next season. I’m not fond of value changes mid season.

 

Would agree with this 100% for the same reasons as stated above. Mob stacking at 25k makes gold farms even more inefficient (with all the other variants) compared to before the stack changes were made. Give us some more incentive to try something different, maybe people will spread out what they do more, thus possibly even helping issues with gold farms.

 

Totally agree in this would however see any changes held off until the end of current season to be fair to the people who are still comitted towards the remainder of the Season.

would love to See a rework to make other blocks more valuable possibly emerald.


Do keep in mind lag wise that you arr replacing nether portals with pumpkin farms with this setup giant fucking pumpkinfarms run by redstone
