Minecraft Name: AdmiralD Suggestion: Please allow the skyblock server to be a true skyblock server and reinstate the creativity normally found with this plugin. Either eliminate or increase current restrictive limits. Bring the server shop. Reason: I hope to see this gamemode succeed on ECC, even if it means removing the economy tie-in aspect with the main server, or figure that out at a later time. This would allow the freedom for all the players to create some wonderful designs. Any Other Information: I am hard pressed to believe that with the small amount of players that lag would be any kind of issue when there are many skyblock servers that host 100's of active players. Hardware alone has to be so much more powerful now than when AEM was hosting. So many of us have waited years for this gamemode to be hosted on ECC and while most everyone is trying to be patient and understanding, there are many players that will leave due the current restrictions. Perhaps remove any main server economy links and let skyblock run like it is designed to be run. I think most of us would be willing to keep playing even if there would need to be resets every month or so which would give the staff plenty of time to evaluate how the economy will work out. Jamie's stated a few times now that hes open to raising limits once skyblock is stable. Shop is being fixed. There're not just with holding it for the sake of it.
He has also mentioned that this (stability evaluation) would occur in November - and I fear that many players will not be patient enough to wait that long. I know it is not just for the sake of it, I just feel they are way overthinking the economy side of skyblock. It seems it would be best to allow skyblock to be played the way it is intended with the economies that many players are used to, and then evaluate how to best integrate that with the Main server. Don't get me wrong, I am still having fun on my "little" island It is a shame that we could not have done a few weeks of beta testing with the economy in place so there would be more data to evaluate that aspect of the gamemode before it went live.
Although I agree.. I still think this process will be slower then most will like. Knowing Jamie there are reasons why he is taking his time, some I’m sure will not be made public for certain reasons. Granted Skyblock as it is now may not be what most expect, but I believe in time it will be. Everyone, including myself often assume everything is just a light switch that can be turned on and off.. Obviously that’s not the case. Personally I hope we can continue to tie everything back to the main economy for the good of the main server.. I imagine that is why we need to be patient and let everything continue to develope. So far I have been fairly happy with how things are turning out even if I don’t agree with some aspects. I trust that in the end everyone will be happy with the result.
That was contingent on the issues not being stabilized. Once the issues are stabilized I'm perfectly willing to remove most of them immediately.
