I was setting up many many spawners today, and when I was moving around a stray and spider, they were destroyed. After the stray one disappeared, I double checked my pick, I have 2 in inventory, and sure enough it was my silk touch. I mined the spider one thinking I must have made a mistake earlier, again made sure it was the silk touch by moving the other pick out of my inventory, mined the spider spawner and it was destroyed. I bought 20 spawners this season, and if i was going to try and fool you it wouldn't be a spider or stray spawner... i did not capture the screen shot immediately, it was only after complaining about it in general chat that I realized that spawner breaking does show up in chat... so it was a few mins after..

The screenshot is from Skyblock, you can pickup spawners if you have the Elite+ rank, he has Skygod so it should work.
To comment on the original post. this does seem to be a long standing issue with Skyblock, I've seen multiple people complain about it, for now we will wait and let a server admin look into this. :) -
It’s been a known bug since the first season. Doesn’t seem to happen to everyone and only early after the resets.. after month 2 it doesn’t happen anymore.. I lose 1-2 every season.
The best advice is to try and place your spawners on a very limited based and not move them around a lot. Also make sure you are in a secure location with multiple levels of ground. It seems like they fall but either disappear or glitch out.. I have found that if I log sometimes they appear in my inv.
I have spoken to other players who claim it hasn’t happened to them to see what they are doing and from what I can tell it’s nothing different. Some players are just unlucky it appears.. -
Also, to assist the SA team, could you post the approx coords of where the spawner was broken

This may or may not help, but sometimes, they don't drop right away for some reason. I'm also a SkyGod, and when I mined one of my Elder spawners, it didn't drop anything right away; in fact, I never saw it drop anything period. I did get it back eventually thanks to a hopper, but from breakage to reclaiming it from the chest the hopper was connected to, I never saw the item. Not sure if it was invisible or what happened.
Again, not sure if it is pertinent to this, but it might be. -
I had an array of about 81 hoppers below the spawner, I was hoping they were somewhere inside the hoppers, but never showed up in the chests.

Ok, please try to understand my point of view... sounds like you are saying that yah, you spent money on spawner keys, and yah you placed them all within the rules of the server, and yah, you went to pick up the spawner with a silk touch pick again, all within the rules of the server, but sorry too bad you wasted your money and blew up your spawners...
these were pretty minor spawners, but spawners I paid for...I showed the evidence that I indeed owned these spawners and that they were destroyed. Either you don't believe me and think I'm trying to cheat you into giving me something I didn't buy or you know that spawners are somewhat finicky in skyblock and buying keys and moving spawners is at my own risk...
I bought 20 keys this season, and thats a good chunk of change. I'm trying to help fix a bug because I like playing skyblock and like to know I'm not paying real money for a virtual item that I can lose because I'm doing something I am completely allowed to do, but at the least I expected to have my spawners returned.. -
Of course im getting defensive. i spent hundreds of dollars and if i was out to get a free spider spawner why would i spend a dime? im trying to help you to continue your business by fixing a bug. any other vendor in the world would want people to continue to buy their product knowing their money is well spent and their purchase has value. telling me you cant replace my spawners becauae you would have to replace everyone‘s is a poor reason when you know what kind of customer i am and have been. you are basically saying im either lying or i messed up and want you to fix is , which implies im still lying, because you cant reproduce it. there has been a hell of a lot of maintenance the last few days, coincidence?
i thought i was trusted and appreciated for my business. definitely not a good feeling on how this is being handled. especially over trash spawners.
your suggestion that i risk another spawner to try and reproduce the issue is also not inline with your statement of cant replace spawners.
