Minecraft Username: Cheorex Brief Description: Observed that passive mobs despawn, though it was mainly on villagers (I did pay more attention to my villagers than my other passive mobs), hence I thought I would highlight this issue. Instructions: 1. Have villagers on your island How many times did you recreate this?: Thrice. During the first occurrence, I had 3 villagers. Then, about a few hours later I realised that I only had 2 left. The 2nd time it happened was when my only butcher was gone. After that, I was skeptical as to whether it was a bug, or a mistake on my part. Hence, I ensured that neither of these could happen. Villagers jumping off the island (Though as far as I'm aware they don't) Zombies spawning on their pasture (Area was already well- lit during the first occurrence) Zombies entering their pasture (Area was already fenced off during the first occurrence) I also started to keep track on the total number of villagers present. Result: After the procedures mentioned above, villagers continued to despawn. This time, my nitwit villager despawned. Which becomes the third time that my villagers had despawned. Expected Result: Villagers should remain and do not despawn. Evidence: I thought that it was quite difficult to show all the villagers in a screenshot, hence I didn't. Additional Notes: I would also like to mention that, I once realised that a stack of my chickens had gone missing somehow, and the chicken pasture was completely empty.
I know that zombies are able to reach over 1 wide fences and attack villagers, so that might be the case with the villagers disappearing
I thought My villagers were despaeining randomly at one time too, but it turned out a baby zombie actually killed my villagers. Is the area the villagers have any dark spots any open air passageways (besides doors, trapdoors, etc)?
