Name: David_Torento Priority: Low Bug: A Few stacks of oak leaves i found in a chest when I was moving things, is decorated rather then the leave. it places as the leaves but when in the inventory/hand it looks different. Evidence: http://imgur.com/6VANr1V,2Tadrxk Other users who noticed it: Ze7707 - I was placing water for him in between clearing my chests. So I had him pose in that lovely picture.
I have so far found over 6 different kinds of leaves. They are nice bugged items to collect. As far as I know they originate from one of the many updates that affected leaves. All leaves that were placed were adjusted, but those in inventories and chests stayed the way they are. If you check with /itemdb, you will notice that the display name sometimes differs from the item name. (For example it says oak leaves, but /itemdb says spruce leaves) This is caused by a strange meta-ID. In the newer MC versions, they began to remove textures from unused meta-IDs and thus they now display a missing texture. The reason why ECC has so many of those items is because ECC is a very old server that survived so many updates so far. So it'S basically a bug from minecraft itself, but one that can be used by collectors because of the leaves' finite supply.
The pink/black means that the item doesn't have a texture. As to why they don't have one, I don't know. Wooden slabs and leaves seem to get this a lot, I've noticed.
Only "wooden" slabs that are from the time when all slabs were broken with a pickaxe. They have a different Meta-ID and thus they show this missing texture, too.
