is anyone else having an issue with this? the last two spawners i had have had this happen. The first one i was grinding and all of a sudden the zombies stopped coming, i looked at the spawn and it was gone. i did /near and nobody was around, it was just gone. The second one i got it set up and went home to put some stuff away, i came back, a few zombies came, and then it stopped, the closest person was 162m away. nothing was destroyed, nobody mined into me, i was at y:11 and it was just gone like the first one. any thoughts?
Someone could have easily vanished and come to destroy your spawner the second you weren't looking or while you left for a quick second. Along with this they could've patched their holes and paths to your spawner. I suggest hiring an investigator ingame if you further wish to find out who it was. This is a mining world spawner so staff can't investigate.
i did, someone did break it, but it was definitely very targeted, they came in from an ocean side of a mountain, and went pretty much straight down, came right to where the spawner was and broke it, then they replaced every block along the way. i am saving the homes i set there in case this happens again. if its the same person then theres something fishy going on
If I see your name tag sitting at a spawner, this is what I would do. Not that I do this sort of thing. But if you are at the spawner when this is happening, they could be tracking you and not the spawner.
i've been at the spawner both times its happened, my only concern is if its the same person that did it both times
You're most likely dealing with someone who does /wild in the mining world until they find a name. They then track you by pinging you on /near and deciding which way to travel by your differing distances. From there once they get close they see your name from the surface, dig down and destroy the spawner. Then they just patch up the hole and leave.
